Chapter 13

• Nora was being pushed around by the reporters' constant manoeuvring; even her suitcase had been dropped.
• Nora, a pregnant woman, was swarmed by reporters who lacked the decency to treat her with respect.
• A lanky person suddenly burst in and shoved back at the reporters who were encircling Nora.
• When Nora caught a whiff of Elise's body scent, she asked, "Are you here,Elise?"
• Elise gave Nora a nod. Before they went, she lifted the baggage while holding Nora in her arms.
• The reporters didn't start to scatter until they were in the car. Before heaving a sigh, Nora cast a quick glimpse at her closest friend Elise, who had short hair and appeared refreshed.
• “Elise, I can't thank you enough."
• To this, Elise responded by shaking her head. "In all seriousness, Nora, I applaud your bravery. I can't help but wish that I had even a fraction of your bravery."
• Nora brushed against Elise’s arm in a reassuring manner. "Elise. You have a lot more intestinal fortitude than the majority of other people. You carried yourself with the dignity of a true man."
• Elise gave Nora the angry eyebrow raise she was known for. "Elise, you should take this as a warning.
• I would ask that you do not make fun of my height or assume that I am a man because of it. If I were shorter than 5 feet and 6 inches, it would have been impossible for me to protect you.”
• Nora gave a friendly smile and gently nodded her head. "That is absolutely correct,madam vida. You are the coolest person I know, hands down."
• “Nora, did they finally evict you from the building?”Elise shrugged.
• “Mm-hmm." Nora gave it an acknowledging nod, indicating that she was aware of it. The sight of the Willards caused a chill to run down her spine.
• "What are your plans at the moment?"" The wistful sigh that Elise lets out was audible enough for Nora to hear the worry in her tone.
• Nora responded with a warm and comforting smile while placing her hand on her belly and reassuring Elise that she would carry the child to term.
• “I’ll give birth to this child!”
• When Elise heard the confession, she was taken aback. "What? Nora, you're going to have a baby, right? "
• Elise's hand was placed on Nora's stomach as she was pulled by Nora's grip on her hand. "That's right,Elise, you're gonna be a godmother soon.'" Nora said to her with a smile.
• Elise frantically reached for Norah's baby bum and placed her hand on it. "There is no hope for this! I have to help you find some peace and quiet place to settle down ! My godson will not tag along with you as you roam the neighbourhood like a wild animal”.
• "What makes you so sure it's going to be a boy?" The joke was on Nora.
• Elise redirected her attention back to the path they were travelling. "I will love them no matter what, regardless of whether they are a boy, a girl, or a hermaphrodite!"
• Nora cast a sombre glance in the direction of her close companion.
• "You have a chance to become this kid's father!"
• " Nora! I warned you, don't keep treating me like a guy! If this keeps up, I will start to question whether or not I belong to the gender I was born into!"
• Elise was unable to contain her anger any longer, and she yelled viciously at Nora.
• She then paused for a moment to draw a deep breath before continuing, "I have a second apartment; it was a present from my parents for my birthday the previous year. It's not like I'm going to be there anyways, so be free to accept it and concentrate on looking after yourself and the baby in the meanwhile. Keep in mind that I'll be waiting for my godson to arrive."
• Nora was taken aback by the expansiveness and opulence of Elise Quade's abode, which caused her to feel a little dumbfounded.
• "Elise, are you going to truly allow me to stay in such a place?”
• Elise sent a snide glance in Nora's direction.“Who says this is for you? It is for my soon to be born godson and you have nothing to do with it!!”

• The news on TV focused almost entirely on Noral's affair with an unknown elderly man, which resulted in the dissolution of her marriage, caused problems for Noral's’ twin sister, and ultimately resulted in Nora being disowned by her family.
• When everyone in East Country started laughing at Nora, her reputation took a nosedive.
• Nora didn't give a hoot about any of that as she focused all of her attention on taking care of her expanding belly; she would sketch, talk to her unborn child, and listen to music geared toward prenatal education on a daily basis.
• Elise would visit her occasionally to bring her groceries, baby clothes, shoes, and toys for her child.
• Even though it was a period filled with repetition and monotony, it was warm and comforting.
• Nora had been bedridden for a number of months at this point when she finally started to regain the ability to walk with the assistance of a variety of objects.
• In the middle of the night, Nora sat down at her sketchbook and drew a picture of infants, superimposing her hopes and dreams for her child onto the image.
• Suddenly, she was wracked with excruciating pain all over her body, and her face went completely pale.
• Nora reached for the brand new phone that Elise had recently purchased for her and dialed the one and only number that was stored in her contact list.
• When Nora's phone call finally came through, she was on the verge of passing out due to the contractions.
• "What's up, Nora? Are you starting to miss me already? Elise, who was on the other end of the phone, teased.
• To Elise's question, Nora responded with a feeble "Elise,I think I’m going into labor now ,it hurts..." while clenching her phone tightly in her hand.
• Elise jumped up from her seat with a serious expression on her face, despite the fact that she was out having dinner. "Hey, don't give up on yourself! I'll be there as soon as I possibly can!"
• When Elise did not receive a response to her message, she thought her heart was going to burst out of her chest.
• As soon as she started to turn away, a man grabbed her wrist and pulled her back.
• "Elise, where are you planning on going?"
• Elise felt a warm glow spread through her body as she looked down at the hand that was holding her wrist.
• "Julius! I need to get there as soon as I can because Nora is about to give birth."
• Julius gave her a look that conveyed his displeasure with what she had done.
• “You're still talking to her?! That's crazy! Do you hear me? You need to stop hanging out with her. What if she causes you to behave negatively just like she does?"
• Elise's neighbor, Nancy, sat in the seat directly across from her.
• she pulled her brows together. "It makes perfect sense why I couldn't locate Nora anywhere. She has spent the entire time staying at Elise's place!'
• "How much longer will this go on? Despite this, it seems like she ought to be giving birth any minute now.’
• Her brows continued to furrow as she began to formulate a strategy while her face was being meticulously made up.
• "Julius, Nora is not at all like what you have in your mind about who she is! Because Nora needs me right now, I have to leave!
• Elise was dead serious about it, and despite the fact that she could hardly stand the idea of doing it, she wrestled her hand away from Julius's hold.
• "Elise, I don't like you disobeying me, do you understand?" Julius reprimanded her as he furrowed his brows and asked, "Do you understand?"
• Elise apologised to Julius despite the fact that she was gritting her teeth the entire time. "Sorry fan, I have to go!"
• Nancy narrowed her eyes once more before giving Julius a grin and saying, "It's fine, Let Elise go."
• Nancy stood up for Elise, which surprised her.
• Julius, on the other hand, had stopped insisting now that Nancy had spoken up. "Elise, minimise contact with her in the future!"
• Nancy couldn't help but add, before Elise left, "Would you please notify me once Nora has been admitted to the hospital, Elise? Mom and dad did kick her out, but we are still concerned about her being alone in the outside world!"
• Elise eventually nodded when she saw Nancy's concerned expression. "Alright, I know what to do !"
• Nancy's hands layered on top of each other after Elise had left, covering her shin.
• She was preoccupied with something.
• 'I've finally found you, Nora.'
• 'Do you believe I should keep your child with Jace?'
