Chapter 4 Hickey

• HANNAH ERA
• I caught Apollo who was organizing his stuff and files to move to his old office. Boss Zander is about to return home to take over the company again. I went to the mini-kitchen and executed my plan. After I made the coffee with special ingredients, I went out and knocked on the door.
• I entered slowly. He looked at me intently. "Coffee, sir?"
• He dropped the paper he was reading.
• "That's the fifth time you've offered me that, Miss Ramos. Still, my answer is 'no'," he thundered.
• "Please? This is my way to show how much I love you." I forced the cup to him.
• His eyes narrowed. "I'm starting to worry. What are you planning?"
• "I just want you to relax. I noticed that you're too edgy today."
• "And the coffee helps?"
• "Yeah. I did this with love."
• “Love? I hope you didn’t put anything unpleasant in there.”
• “No, of course not!”
• “Really?”
• I frowned. Shit, this is the last pill. From this morning to this afternoon, he still won't drink my coffee!
• I walked over to him and put the coffee on his side before putting my hand on my waist. "Alright, I just want to serve you. I didn’t put anything in the coffee. Come on. Please?”
• "If you want to serve me, keep your mouth shut."
• "Do you want your future wife to be quiet? Isn’t that a bit boring?"
• "No. But I want a peaceful working place. Please!"
• "Drink this and you'll have your peaceful working place in no time."
• He reached for the mug and sipped the coffee. "Happy?"
• I smiled. "More than happy. I’ll leave you now."
• “Thank you,” he said in a very sarcastic tone.
• Until I left his office, the smile on my face never disappeared. After an hour, I went in again. I bit my bottom lip when I found Apollo slumped over his desk. I approached him and stroked his soft hair.
• "Time for marking my man.”
• I pulled Apollo's body to change its position. I leaned on his swivel chair and opened every button of his long sleeve polo.
• I started to rub his neck and shoulders down to his hard chest. My heart almost exploded from the excitement I felt. After I executed the plan, I unbuttoned his shirt and returned him to his position as if nothing had happened.
• Until I got home, my feet still felt like they were floating. I can't get out of my mind the taste and form of Apollo's body. I was so happy. I guess I don't know the feeling of being angry anymore.
• When I got home, I immediately called Mama. "Good evening, Mama. How's Papa?"
• "He's fine now. He's just taking a lot of medicine, baby. He misses you so much." The joy in her words was obvious.
• I sat on the sofa and leaned my head on the headrest. "My flight is on Saturday. Just wait for me."
• "Okay. Be careful. Have you marked your man?"
• "Yes, 'Ma. No hesitation," I giggled.
• "Is that so? He really loved you then."
• "How I wish, Mom."
• "Is it delicious?"
• "Oh, Mama, there's nothing to compare it to. I didn't even get to eat lunch. I was full right away. The hardness and the size," I said, laughing.
• "Hannah! I think you ate something else! What did you do?" She shouted but with a touch of humour.
• I fell on my face and giggled. “I'm talking about his muscles, Mama! Calm down."
• "Good."
• "Okay, I have to go. I'm a little tired from the amount of work in the office."
• "You haven't filed your resignation yet?"
• I took a deep breath. "I can't yet, Mama. I just want to work there for two months more."
• "But—"
• "Please, 'Ma, let's not argue about this.' I still want to see Apollo.
• "Just two months, Hannah Era."
• "Just two months. I promise."
• "Okay. Good night, darling."
• I slept well tonight. The next day, I woke up to the sound of my doorbell. Who the fuck ruined my dream?!
• Son of a fool! I’m never a morning person. When I open the door, I will peel a human’s face.
• "Whoever you are who disturbs my sleep, I will tie you up—" I stopped when I saw the man of my dreams. "I will tie you to my heart."
• "You bitch."
• I winced at what he said. "Oh."
• He towered to me. I walked backwards when we got too close. He closed the door behind him and took off his black v-neck t-shirt. I was stunned when I saw her beautiful body again. I couldn't take my eyes off his muscular chest. I bit my bottom lip.
• Is he stripping? Oh my gosh.
• "How dare you mark me like I belong to you."
• I swallowed.
• "I don't know what you're saying," I said, innocently. My hand is itching to touch it again. My morning was very good.
• "You made me drink your coffee with sleeping pills and managed to give me multiple hickeys."
• "I... I..." I didn't know where to look. In his eyes or his abs. Oh God, is this my breakfast?!
• "My eyes are up here, woman!" He said angrily. "Tell me, why did you do that?"
• "Because I'm leaving. I just want to make sure no woman can get close to you." I said weakly. Is he torturing me? He undressed in front of me and then he would ask this. My mind is everywhere.
• How can I concentrate?!
• "Where are you going?" He said coldly.
• "In Cebu. My dad is sick. I'm leaving on Saturday." I averted my eyes from his body because I was getting weak. "And our one-month deal. Can we pause for now? Then just continue when I get back?"
• He smirked. "You're one demanding woman."
• "Please? I’m accountable for what I did to your mouth-watering body." I said while observing his body. "If you want, you can come with me. Ma'am Tallia will arrive soon, right? And the Boss promised you that he would give you one week's vacation leave?"
• "Okay."
• My eyes widened.
• "What, really? Really?! You're going with me?!" I jumped up and hugged him. "Yiieeeh! We’re dating! We’re getting married!"
• "We're not dating. I'm just going on vacation."
• "You're going on vacation with me? You're really sweet. You even smell good."
• He moved my face away from his neck. "I said, I'm going on vacation in Cebu but I didn't say I'm going with you."
• "Manila is yours, Cebu is mine. There is no place I can't find you there."
