Chapter 34 Prom

• He'd been waiting at her porch for forty-five minutes, an additional forty-five minutes on top of the hour he had waited in his own house before he left.
• She said she was almost ready, so he got into his car and drove to Peyton's house. It took her an hour or so to get ready every time they go out. He should've known Prom would take at least twice as long.
• He held the white corsage that Peyton had specifically chosen for him to bring because it will match her dress. His face was stiff from smiling too long while chit-chatting with her mom. Even her mom finally gave up the small talk and asked him to wait in the living room but he declined.
