Chapter 177 Mother-in-Law, Husband

• Nearly one and a half hours had passed when Shawn arrived at the hospital. He brought a few thermos flasks filled with warm dishes that he had just prepared, and Arthur generously forgave Shawn for being thirty minutes late as the food he prepared looked both delicious and healthy. As Erin munched on her meal like a hungry mouse, Shawn found his gaze lingering on the young girl when he sat himself down by the side of her bed. Of course, he wasn’t admiring her beauty—he was merely surprised by the sight of the injuries on her head and face as they looked extremely severe. Erin was too hungry to be bothered by his inquisitive stare—all she saw then was the food before her eyes.
• Halfway through her meal, however, someone opened the door to her room. She froze and looked up from her bowl to see Frank dressed in a hospital gown. When Frank first attempted to sneak into the room, Erin gasped in surprise and nearly dropped her fork. Frank was just as surprised to find Erin wide awake, and he froze by the door for a short moment.
• “Old Mr. Harrison.” Shawn leaped to his feet and went over to help Frank into the room when he saw the old man. Frank cleared his throat in response as he allowed Shawn to help him over to the bed. Both Arthur and Erin had their eyes fixed on Frank.
