Chapter 171 It Wouldn’t Be a Shame Even if She Died

  • An eerie silence filled the air right after the loud slap echoed in the dining hall. The silence lasted for one second… two seconds… three seconds…
  • “Ahhh!” Mandy pressed the spot where Erin had just slapped her on the cheek and let out a shrill scream. With that, she immediately charged ferociously toward Erin. Erin had been prepared for this—she stepped aside the moment Mandy reached out for her. Mandy, on the other hand, had placed all of her strength into charging forward; she quickly lost her balance the moment Erin dodged her attack, and her entire body fell toward the chair that had been behind Erin. Although she didn’t land on the ground, Mandy felt a sharp pain as her stomach struck against the edge of the chair. She immediately curled up on the ground as she clutched her abdomen and wailed in pain. Meanwhile, Erin felt her right palm turning numb as she glared at the woman curled up on the ground.
  • At that moment, she heard a pair of hurried footsteps running toward her from the back. Erin was still dazed from the entire incident—she felt her arms being pinned against her back before she even had the chance to turn around. Immediately after that, she felt her body being spun to face the person who had grabbed her. Before she managed to get her bearings, a powerful and hard slap landed on her right cheek. The person hadn’t held back at all—Erin’s nose started to bleed right after she was hit. In fact, the only reason why she did not fall to the ground was because the person had held onto her arm the entire time. However, she felt her legs turning wobbly as she heard a ringing sound in her head that made her feel like she was about to faint.
