Chapter 170 There is a Limit to My Patience

  • Mary walked out of the house to call Erin in for breakfast once she finished preparing the latter’s meal. However, she came out to see Erin kneeling by the front of the house. Shocked by the sight of this, Mary hastily jogged over to hold onto Erin’s arm and help her up. “What are you doing, Miss Erin? Hurry and stand up.” Erin allowed Mary to help her up as she continued to bite on her lower lip.
  • “Miss Erin…” Mary let out a sigh. She looked as if she wanted to comfort Erin, but she parted her lips only to swallow her words once again. Erin lowered her moist eyelashes before she walked into the house with Mary providing an arm as support. Once Erin entered the living hall, she saw Arnold and Mandy sharing a couch. Meanwhile, Frank was nowhere to be seen. A bitter taste emerged in Erin’s mouth as she glanced up toward Frank’s study before she lowered her gaze and walked to the dining area.
  • Erin sat at the dining table and waited for her food while Mary scooped up a bowl of warm porridge for her. When Mary handed her the bowl, she simply took it over before she placed it in front of her and picked up a spoon that had been set on the table. Mary stayed around and watched the young girl for a while longer before she eventually let out a long sigh and walked out of the dining hall.
