Chapter 12 The Tonic Soup She Made for Him

  • Arthur let Erin sit on the sofa before glancing back at Becky, who hurriedly came over with the first aid kit in her hand. After opening the first aid kit, she handed it to him.
  • Arthur took a cotton swab out of the kit before pressing the soft cotton ball on Erin’s wounded and bleeding finger.
  • Erin glanced at Becky, who then glanced back at her; they both didn’t dare to even breathe.
  • It was just a small wound, but Arthur treated it meticulously. After cleansing the wound to disinfect it, he smeared some antibiotic cream over it and put on an adhesive bandage.
  • After everything was done in order, Becky put the cotton swab and other tools that Arthur had taken out of the first aid kit back into the kit. Then, she picked it up and left the living room.
  • After she left, Erin parted her lips, looked at the still-darkened expression on Arthur’s handsome face, and said in a whisper, “I’m fine, Uncle Arthur.”
  • Arthur stared seriously at her before ordering in a cold voice, “Don’t go into the kitchen anymore.”
  • Speechless, Erin had a twitch in the corner of her mouth. “I still want to cook some soup for you.”
  • Arthur snorted. “A soup with your blood mixed in it?”
  • Now, this is embarrassing! thought Erin to herself. Feeling sheepish, she lowered her voice, saying, “It’s because I’m cooking for the first time. Such a thing won’t happen again once I cook several more times, right?”
  • Arthur frowned and compressed his thin lips commandingly while staring quietly at Erin.
  • His stare raised the hair on the back of Erin’s neck. She said with a twitch in the corner of his mouth, “I won’t go into the kitchen anymore, okay?”
  • What scared her the most was when he stared frostily at her without saying a word like this; she found him more amiable if he glared at her and gave her a few words of reproach.
  • Arthur’s tense and darkened face didn’t soften until he heard her say that. His thin lips parted as he glanced at her finger with the adhesive band on it. “Does it hurt?”
  • Erin immediately shook her head. I don’t dare to say it hurts!
  • Arthur glanced at her before pressing his lips together.
  • In the dining room, Becky served the soup that Erin had wanted to prepare for Arthur.
  • Arthur’s handsome face twitched slightly when he glanced at the soup.
  • Did this girl actually plan to prepare a soup with oysters, sea cucumbers, and abalones for me? Isn’t this just a random mix of ingredients? Besides, this soup is very nutritious!
  • Erin had no idea about this because she was young. She prepared such a soup simply because she thought these ingredients were expensive and nutritious enough to show her sincerity.
  • On the other hand, Becky and Arthur had knowledge of what Erin was clueless about.
  • Becky took a special glance at Arthur when she served the soup, but she didn’t notice anything peculiar because his face was always devoid of expression. After curling her lips into a smile, she turned around and left the dining room.
  • As soon as Becky left, Erin quickly made use of the time to play up to Arthur. She got up, took a bowl, and ladled some soup into it for him, saying, “Uncle Arthur, I didn’t end up being the one who prepared this soup, but I washed the ingredients myself. This is the first time I made soup for you, so please make sure to drink more of it.”
  • Arthur’s expression was hard to fathom, and he looked calm as he reached out to take the bowl of soup Erin handed to him.
  • Erin watched him take the bowl of soup before sitting back in her seat with a smile. Then, she stared hopefully at him with a pair of watery eyes.
  • Arthur raised his brows slightly before taking a sip of it. Just as he was about to put down the bowl of soup, he noticed that Erin was still staring eagerly at him.
  • He knitted his brows, but in the end, he found it hard to let her down. Therefore, he raised his head and finished the bowl of soup.
  • At the sight of this, Erin picked up her cutlery with satisfaction and started eating.
  • Arthur parted his thin lips slightly and breathed a sigh of relief.
  • It was late at night when the soft, sweet, and quavering voice rang in his ear, setting his heart burning right away like a fire. “Uncle Arthur, Uncle Arthur…”
  • Arthur kissed the charming and gentle lady lying beneath him even harder on the lips before sticking his tongue into her mouth.
  • “Mmm…”
  • Arthur pinched her soft waist. “Give me, Erie…”
  • “Uncle Arthur… Aaah—”
  • Before she could finish her sentence, Arthur held up her waist from behind and forcibly penetrated her.
  • It was an entire night of wanton pleasure-seeking.
  • When the early morning sun shone through the slits in the window, Arthur suddenly opened his deep and frosty eyes. He subconsciously looked at the space beside him on the bed, but it was empty, which meant that what had happened last night was only a dream.
  • He threw back the quilt and sat up with deep furrows in his brows, but his sharp eyes suddenly darkened when he caught sight of the sticky wet stain on his pajama bottoms.
  • Arthur went to the bathroom to take a shower before going to his closet to change his clothes.
  • As he came out of his closet while buttoning his shirt, he saw Erin sitting obediently on his bed in a pure white school uniform.
  • A hint of tenderness flashed across his cold eyes.
  • Erin looked at him with a bright smile. “Uncle Arthur.”
  • “Uh-huh.” Arthur waved at her.
  • Erin got up and walked up to him before holding his arm with both hands.
  • Arthur patted her on the head. “You don’t have to go to school today, right? Why are you wearing your school uniform?”
  • This day was the day of the autumn outing. However, Erin wasn’t joining the trip, so she naturally didn’t have to go to school.
  • Erin’s long eyelashes fluttered at once. After collecting herself a little, she took a deep breath, looked at him, and explained quickly, “Our class teacher said that those who won’t be joining the autumn outing have to go to school to study by themselves.”
  • “Okay.” Arthur nodded.
  • Is ‘Okay’ his only response?
