Chapter 111 Wishing the Ground Would Swallow Her Up

• She froze slightly in response, a frown appearing on her face. Isn’t that Mandy’s voice? She glanced at the clock on the wall. Why are they home? It’s only slightly after 4 PM! Based on past precedent, Arnold and the others would stay in the neighboring city for two days before returning. But, not even a single day has passed since their departure! Wait! If Mandy is back, then won’t a certain somebody… be back too?! She gasped audibly and swiftly headed out to the yard.
• When she arrived at the entrance to the central hall, her gaze collided with a certain somebody’s gaze as he stepped in through the front door. A chill ran down the back of her neck to the soles of her feet. She froze at the door and did not dare to take another step!
• Arthur’s gaze was gloomy, and barely any emotion showed on his distinct facial features. He stared at the panicked little girl standing at the entrance of the central hall for several seconds. Then, he walked inside like normal.
