• Gabriel’s POV
• I talk to her some more, I tell her how I feel about being the one who found her daughter dead in that house, I tell her that the guy is a crazy psychopath, my wife's ex-boyfriend, she asks me about the baby and I tell her that I don't know the sex yet, that we will know soon, I promise to help her with her husband's expenses and to bring a better doctor, but she refuses, she says that there is little time left for him and that her husband just wants to rest in peace.
• I said goodbye to her when Rafa called to tell me that Ana was asking for me, so I left her alone and went back the way I came, to the room where my wife slept. Never in a million years would this conversation with Sonia's mother have crossed my mind, someone so ambitious that God was charging her dearly for her mistakes in life.
