Chapter 27

• I am outside. I turned around to look for Adonis. Even though I drove him away, I still wanted him to stay here and watch over me, even if it was unfair to Wendy. No matter what I do, I can’t stop the overflowing I feel for him. I could barely sleep with the kiss he did on me. I turned my back to pretend he was there, but I only saw the approaching Cole.
• “Let’s go?” He pulled me into the sea, he said. He told me we would look for fish there because there is a cave in the sea where the fish are staying. He was holding two large-pointed bamboos. He says that’s what we are going to use; to catch fish.
• I turned around again to look, but I didn’t see Adonis, so I just shrugged it off. Volunteers will be coming tomorrow. We will see how many students there are. Other adults still want to learn. With the amount of population here, I think quite a few can be listed. I just hope they send more volunteers. After we count them, the school will be built next. Depending on the quantity, how much Cole will make.
