• Finally, the king lets me go. I stand beside the window and glance out at the charred dead land. All I must do is get over the wall of fire. Maybe, just maybe, I can find my way home. But where is home? My grandmother has done nothing but lie to me, erase my memory at her will. I would never risk the lives of Clara and David as I have no doubt the king will not let me go without a fight. If I make it out of here, then I am on my own. I can’t risk the lives of the ones I love.
