Chapter 41 Moody Cain

• Cain paused and answered the call, with the thought that it was Becky calling him. Because Lucian already told her that they were having a meeting but, he was a bit disappointed when he heard the voice and got to know it was Lucian calling him to ask if he had gotten home already. Lucian's voice was quite different at first, but later, Cain got to track well.
• Deep down, he wished, he could just snub and tell him not to call again, that he had taken his woman from him, but then, that would be rude of him, not even after he had accepted his friendship. How it pained him so much inside, but, he had to suppress it and accept life. Maybe Becky would text him soon for their break-up.
• They were friends now, and it was only normal between friends to care and bother about each other. He wondered deeply if there was more to just that.
