  • He had stayed far enough away from her so she could not sense him. At least he had meant to.
  • Truly, he didn’t know why he allowed himself to come back. As the sun dawned on the horizon, he found himself nearer to her home than he had intended.
  • When the rays of light hit her quarters, they found her in her bed, as he had stood to watched them move lightly over her hair. The light fell across her cheek and the sun’s touch showed him it was not the color of brown he had thought. It was, in fact, many shades of brown, and paler shades with golden hidden beneath. She looked too appealing to him at this time. Her thick lashes fanned out to hide her dark eyes. He smiled; a man could easily fall into those brown eyes and never return again.
