Chapter 162 He Has His Eyes on Something

  • Cassius pondered for a moment before saying, "There's no time like the present. Since you want to treat me to a meal, let's do it today so that you won't go back on your words the next time."
  • Judith then came to a realization that she still found it hard to communicate with Cassius as she tried her best to suppress her urge to snap at him. "Talia is still at your place, though. She'd have to come with us."
  • Upon hearing that, he chose to compromise. "Why don't you come over to my place so that Talia can eat with you as well? It'll be easier like that, after all."
  • After hesitating for a moment, she entered his car. "Sure. I'll take this opportunity to visit her and she'll surely be shocked when she sees me. Still, I won't be able to treat you to a meal since we will be eating at your place, so we will have to postpone it then."
  • Although the lingering scent of cigarette in the car was almost gone, he didn't wind up the car window before he drove. "You can treat me to a meal next time, then."
  • Judith couldn't help but harrumph when she heard him. "Didn't you say that you're afraid of me reneging on my words? Are you not afraid now?"
