Chapter 24 No Way Out

• The four friends froze in their tracks, their hearts pounding loudly in their chests as they watched the old man walk to them. Where the old man had come from or why he was still awake at this hour of the night, none of the friends could tell so they exchanged shocked looks with one another.
• There was fear on everyone's faces with none of them knowing what to do or say. Unlike, Calix who still had his mask intact, Jamal and Andrew had long pulled theirs out so their identity was known to the old man who happened to be one of the well-known elders, one quite close to the alpha. The friends had seen him around the alpha, though, mostly quiet, he still tagged along like the elder he was.
• The elders were old werewolves with great experience and knowledge of the pack due to their long years of existence. They are mostly a set of old wolves who had decided to make the pack their final resting place.
