Chapter 3

  • Advaita opened her eyes slowly and saw Snehith beside her.
  • "How are you now?" Snehith asked her.
  • "I am sorry for my behavior. I shouldn't have done so," Advaita said.
  • "It is okay. Come, I will drop you at the Home," he said.
  • "But I can go," she said getting up from the bed.
  • Snehith glared at her. Advaita nodded agreeing to go in his car to the Home. Snehith dropped her at the orphanage and drove off immediately without even looking at her or allowing her to bid bye.
  • Advaita felt sick and upset, though she can't agree. Her mind cautions her not to trust a man again or to like him. But without her permission, her heart liked and felt happy with Snehith's behavior and care on her. She is alone, and loneliness is the only companion in her life for now. She needed someone who cares for her, but everyone abandoned her. She wanted a shoulder to lean on and a pure soul to share her grief. Advaita sighed and went to her room remembering the past.
  • Advaita went to her room. She tried to get on with her routine. However, she remembered Snehith continuously. She didn't understand why she is thinking about him. A week went off quickly. Snehith was busy with his work and not close to her as before. He didn't call her to his cabin, and even if she goes, he just assigned her the work or checked the reports but didn't talk much. He maintained distance with her. Advaita was uncomfortable with his avoidance.
  • I didn't know why he is angry with me. He is always jovial and sweet, but now he is serious. I didn't know why I am thinking much about him. I feel a strange connection with him. Though I know, I don't get any happiness in this life. Still, his avoidance is making me upset.
  • Advaita thought and wiped her tears. She slept thinking about Snehith. Next day, she went to the office. She went directly to his room and knocked the door.
  • "Yes, come in," Snehith said.
  • "Good morning, sir!" Advaita greeted him.
  • "Good morning! I don't think I called you to my cabin now. May I know the reason for your coming to my cabin?" Snehith asked.
  • "I am sorry for my past behavior. But sir.... " Advaita tried to explain him, but he cut her words off before she completed.
  • "Look, Ms. Advaita, I have many works. I don't have time to discuss your personal life. Now you can go. Remember, from next time, come to my cabin only if I call you," Snehith said as if he doesn't care for her.
  • Tears rolled down from her eyes. She left from there. Snehith punched the table harder seeing her in tears.
  • Advaita called Akshara (psychiatrist).
  • "Hello, doctor! I am Advaita," she said.
  • "Hello, Advaita! How are you?" Akshara asked her affectionately.
  • "I am fine, but I want to ask you something. Did you say anything about my past to Snehith on that day?" Advaita asked.
  • "No, I didn't say anything to him. Is everything ok?" Akshara asked.
  • "Yes doctor, everything is fine. Thank you and sorry for the disturbance."
  • "It is okay. Bye, take care!"
  • Advaita disconnected the call and was disturbed thinking about Snehith. Her office mobile started ringing.
  • "Hello, sir!" Advaita answered the call.
  • "Report in my cabin now," Snehith ordered.
  • Advaita went to his cabin.
  • "Look Advaita; I hope you know the rules. No one is allowed to talk personal calls during office hours. I hope you won't repeat it," he said in his bossy tone.
  • "Sorry, sir! I didn't want anything to go wrong in your office anymore because of me. So, I took a decision," Advaita said and gave a letter to him.
  • He opened the letter and read it.
  • "Resignation letter? But I don't understand the reason behind your resignation," he said.
  • "I don't want to be a disturbance in your company and create an unnecessary mess," Advaita replied.
  • "Who told that you are a disturbance to my company?" Snehith asked her.
  • "I know it, sir. I can't keep my behavior in control. That's the reason you are also avoiding me and angry at me," Advaita said making Snehith happy knowing that he had an effect on her. But at the same time, he felt sorry for hurting her with his behavior.
  • "I am not angry at you, Advaita. I am just behaving as you wanted me to behave. I behave like this with all my employees. I am behaving in the same way with you too. Do we have any relationship between us apart from employer and employee?" Snehith asked her.
  • "No!" she answered.
  • "Yes, we have some other relationship between us which you didn't know," Snehith said.
  • "What do you mean?"
  • "Yes! A year ago, you were my fiance. I am Snehith Kumar Agarwal, son of Ananth Agarwal."
  • Advaita was shocked, and again her past appeared before her eyes. She immediately ran from there followed by Snehith. She went out, and suddenly a car went close to her making her hand injured. She fell due to vertigo, and her foot was injured.
  • "Advaita," Snehith shouted and lifted her in bridal style.
  • "What are you doing?" Advaita asked.
  • "Can't you see? The car hit your leg, but you are talking as if you are gone mad. May be it's true that your brain is in your leg. That's why your mind stopped working due to the injury," he said sarcastically to make her forget her pain through the argument.
  • "Shut up. Drop me down, please," Advaita said.
  • "Shut up! Otherwise, I will.... " he said and came close to her lips. His lips were about to touch her lips, but she closed her lips tightly avoiding the kiss.
  • "That's better!" He said smirking.
  • He took her to his car and dropped her slowly making her sit in the car. He drove to his home. Snehith again lifted her in his arms and took her to his room.
  • "Why did you bring me here? Leave me. Don't come near to me. I will kill you," Advaita said with fear.
  • "Advaita, you are not well, and now you met with an accident. So I brought you to my home. Don't worry; I am not of that kind. I won't keep the physical relationship with any girl except my wife. Now take rest. If you don't trust me, lock the door from inside, in case if you can walk," Snehith said.
  • He closed the door and Advaita slept on the bed turning the other side. After some time he came to her and touched her leg. She immediately woke up shouting.
  • "Don't yell at me. I just came to change your bandage because it's not properly dressed at that time," saying this he slowly removed the bandage and cleaned the injury. Then he applied an antiseptic cream and bandaged her leg.
  • "Show me your hand," Snehith asked.
  • "No need," Advaita said trying to sound rude.
  • Snehith forcefully took her hand and bandaged her hand.
  • "Don't sleep. I will bring dinner within five minutes."
  • He came with dinner.Advaita looked at him. He took a spoon and tried to feed her.
  • "Open your mouth."
  • "It's okay. I can eat," Advaita said.
  • "Oh, God! Why do you have a problem with everything? Just stop arguing and have food. You can't eat by yourself because your hand got injured. Now open your mouth, or else you will stay hungry the whole nite. Here there is no one to feed you except me," Snehith tried to convince her.
  • Not here. I have no one anywhere to take care of me. Please Snehith, don't care for me because I remember my past moments with my family. If you know the truth why our marriage was canceled, you will hate me. I made a big mistake of losing a person like you. If you go away after being close and giving hope to me, I can't live, Advaita's heart spoken in a silent language which cannot be heard by Snehith.
  • She came out of her thoughts and decided to hurt him. She threw the plate away making Snehith angry.
  • "I said I don't want. Why don't you understand? Why are you forcing me for everything? Please, leave me alone," Advaita yelled at him.
  • "Shut up! Till now that's what everyone did with you. Everyone left you alone. I can't do that. Look Advaita; I love you in the past, present, and future too. If you agree, I am ready to marry you, right now. I know that you went away with your past love before the day of our engagement. You married him, but now you are leaving alone. I will never ask the reason behind your break up. It doesn't matter to me. I am not concerned about your past. Why can't  you understand this?"
  • "The Past is the base for future, and my past is more than you can imagine. My past is the worst. Please, leave me alone. I don't love you," Advaita said weeping.
  • Snehith went out from the room leaving her alone. Advaita left from there without Snehith's notice.
  • Snehith came back for her to make her eat something and give tablets. He didn't find her. Snehith searched for her in the entire house, and then he went to her orphanage. The Mother informed him that she didn't return to the Home. He searched everywhere for her, but he didn't find her.
  • Snehith was upset for missing her again. He lost focus on his work and life. He filed a complaint in the police station. He gave a missing advertisement in the news paper. After a week, he received a call from an unknown number.
  • "Hello! Snehith is speaking."
  • "Sir, we are calling from Apollo hospitals. We saw the missing advertisement in the newspaper about Advaita. That girl was admitted to our hospital before a week. She tried to commit suicide. So we didn't discharge her till now. If you come here, you can meet her," the receptionist informed him.
  • "Thank you. Thank you so much. I am coming," Snehith said and rushed to the hospital to meet his love, Advaita.
  • Advaita, this time I won't let you go. I will make you forget your bitter past and will marry you. I love you, Snehith said to himself.
