• We were taught different things during our stay. We were taught about make up. We were also taught how to catwalk, how to pose for photographs and so many things. We were twenty contestants. There would be two preliminaries. Five contestants would be evicted at a time, leaving the
• final ten to contest for the title of miss prestige. The first preliminary came and I was among the contestants who would stay. The second one came, and I wasn’t evicted. I had finally made it to the top ten. I had learnt a lot too. I knew Ray would be very proud of me.
• The top ten were called out. We cat walked on the run way. We showcased the work of different designers. In each round we could see the judges nodding and making several comments on their note books. We were asked several questions. I answered them intelligently. The top five were called. I was still among them. We were asked how we would use the title in case we won. I laid out my plan and promised to launch a Mister and Miss Glamorous pageant, which would look into the untold stories in the society. Ray was seated in the special guests’ space. He cheered me on as I talked about our plan. The crowd was cheering too. It was an eventful evening.
