Chapter 21

• My classmates wanted to know what had happened to me. They kept asking me about the fainting and the face. I had vowed not to let anyone
• know about the pregnancy. The symptoms were betraying me fast. I would fall asleep even during lessons. I resulted to waking up in the middle of the night to study just as Ray had advised me. I could also not eat school food. My only food was bread and tea. I was becoming weak.
• The matron would call me to the dispensary when no one would notice. She wanted to check on how the pregnancy was. I never knew it was this difficult, especially in school where I can’t rest when I want to or eat whatever I want. Don’t worry Stephanie. I will include you in the special diet program in the school. She forwarded my name to the cateress for special diet. We thought it could help but it didn’t. I would vomit all of it minutes after eating. I became stressed. She decided to be giving me fruits during lunch time. It helped a lot. At least I would regain my strength.
