Chapter 60 Déjà Vu

  • I was so happy to be leaving that I could barely fall asleep that night after packing up our stuff. Even so I woke up at half eight the next morning, which would've been unthinkable in the past. I smoked a cigarette, washed my face without much enthusiasm, and went downstairs to watch the morning news. My first mind was telling me to find Yunai's house key, go through his pockets to get some cash and vanish. However, my first mind was often wrong, so I ignored it. I couldn't leave anyway.
  • There were no developments on the morning news. A couple of hours later, Yunai came down and was surprised to see me.
  • “You’re up early,” he remarked, scratching his neck on the way to the kitchen. He returned with a chocolate milkshake carton.
