Chapter 40 Meeting at a party

• She hasn’t told him the details of the party she is going to attend. Likewise, he didn’t ask. When he came home early to prepare for it, he found her sleeping. Thinking she might be tired, he didn’t wake her up. He’ll just go alone.
• As for Andrea, there was a problem at her company that she had to resolve early that morning. She was fairly tired and went to sleep early when she got home, so she would have the energy during the party.
