Chapter 41 Complicated

• As he was about to finish his bowl, he suddenly stood up and walked past me towards the dining table and put the rest of his bowl in the dishwasher before grabbing mine and placing it in the sink to wash later. I grabbed my bowl from him and walked into the kitchen to start washing up afterward.
• As I was washing up, I heard the front door open and close, followed by footsteps moving up the stairs and eventually down the hallway and into the kitchen. Ethan was standing in the kitchen doorway, staring at me.
• “Hi beautiful.” Ethan smiled happily.
