Chapter 21 A Rescue Mission

• Laure looked at Ezra’s sleeping face. He saw where he has slapped him. The blood was wiped clean but the marks are still there. He tramped down on any guilt he has ever felt. All he remembers is the blood that splattered on his face as his parents were killed before him. That memory, it gave him the strength to seek his revenge. He doesn’t care how great Alexander Almaraz has been to everyone. But to him, the man is the monster who destroyed his family. He will destroy the near and dear of that man.
• Laure turned away. He groaned as the whore of a woman walked in again. But he indulged her with a nod. He had to keep up his appearances and antagonizing the allies was not good for that.
• Laure- he snorted. That was not even his real name. He looked back at Ezra. The ropes were leaving a dark gash on his skin that looked like porcelain. Tear drops have dried up in his face. Ezra was such a foolish boy. He had just blindly trusted him and walked out with him. Not someone who should belong in the mafia world.
