Chapter 24

• Laura looked up at him and he felt completely amazed by her shy behavior. "Eat before it gets cold," Steven told her as he walked into his room.
• Looking at the cart, she saw a salad, penne carbonara, and cheesecake for dessert. She carried her food as she comfortably sat on the chair and started eating it. She was too immersed in eating and looking out at the city shining brightly under the lights that she didn't notice the man had again occupied the same place and was watching her intently.
• As she gulped down the last piece of cake, she turned to grab a tissue and nearly choked when saw the man's silent presence behind her. He handed her a tissue and she swallowed the cake immediately with one hand covering her half-open mouth.
