I have loved Stella since high school but when I looked into Aviva’s eyes during the unveiling ceremony my heart stopped beating. I had a funny feeling I didn’t understand it. Since then I was being nervous around her. Yet she is carrying on like everyday. She doesn’t even feel my presence around her. I still irritate her, she doesn’t even try to hide the hatred she has for me.
I watch her putting her things away as I stand at the door. She has a very beautiful figure that will turn many heads and she is my wife and she will be staying in another country for three years. What if another man snatches her. I have only paid her bride price.
“ Do you need anything from me” she turned and looked at me and I shook my head and walk away.
