Chapter 30 The king's party

Around the palace that morning were loud chatters and movements of bulky loud objects around the palace. Clamors of a new age for the king with every of his children present, to wish him a good birthday of reigning as king too. Gifts and presents were being sent to the palace from different families around the city, as the servants were working non stop from unwrapping every gift and taking them to a room.
Ayden had to go for another compulsory breakfast with the king, as the royal family wished him a happy birthday sincerely from their heart. They also all had their gifts around beside their chairs, waiting for the perfect time to present the king with his gift.
Queen Etheldreda had given a beautiful and wonderful speech about her husband and kissed his cheek, as she broke the anticipating hour by presenting to him an armour cloth made of pure gold that was quite a fortune as her own gift. She wanted him to wear it to his own birthday feast later at night.
