Chapter 45- Revealing the past

• Daniel Brooke looked at their departing figures, and his expression turned sinister. He took out his phone and dialed a number. He commanded fiercely as soon as the call connected, "I need detailed information about Carl Black. His daily routine, his friends, enemies, every single detail. I need it as soon as possible."
• He hung up the call soon after saying this, without waiting for the response from the other end of the phone. He looked at them again. He saw them getting in the car and driving away. He stood there for a long time, looking in the direction from where they just disappeared from his sight, before leaving from there.
• Inside the car, Carl Black's expression was cold. His full concentration was on driving. He even didn't glance at her. The awkward silence inside the car was oppressive, and Lisa was feeling very uncomfortable. She didn't know what was going on in his mind. She wanted to talk to him, but every time when she opened her mouth to say something, she swallowed back all the words after seeing his sullen expression. There was an unknown fear in her heart. She glanced at him through the corner of her eyes.
