Chapter 116- Trying to feel her

  • This was the day of Lisa's funeral. Close relatives and family friends were gathered in the cemetery. There were tears in every pair of eyes present there, except Carl Black's, who was standing there motionlessly, looking down at the grave. Somehow in his heart, he was sure that Lisa was safe and sound somewhere. He was not at all ready to accept that the body which they buried just now was Lisa's body. After looking for a long time at the grave, he turned around and left. Mack Black saw him walking out of the cemetery and chased him after. He reached out to hold his hand and asked, "Where are you going? Everyone is here. Stay for a while."
  • "I hope you can manage everything. I need some time alone."
  • Carl Black said those words without looking back at him. Pulling his hand back, he strode out of there. Mack Black could do nothing, other than looking at his retreating figure speechlessly. Another pair of eyes was also staring at the burial ritual of Lisa, from afar, hiding behind a tree. Those eyes were completely red, filled with tears. Unable to watch anymore, he turned around and leaned back on the tree. Daniel Brooke quietly shed his tears, lowering his head. All these days, he was trying hard to get her back by his side, but in the end, he lost her forever. He was feeling guilty and was blaming himself for this massive loss. This self-blaming was draining his energy, his willpower, and his confidence. It spiked up the pain in his heart, leading to depression and anxiety. Hammering his fist on the tree, he continued crying and his whole body was wracking.
