  • "It's morning Henry." Lydia said happily as her brother opened his eyes, he smiled and rolled his eyes.
  • "Morning." He replied and Lydia helped him sit up.
  • "Okay, the nurses will be here to clean you up, I have to go now, i might be back a little bit late today before I get back, is that okay?"
  • "Sure."
  • "Okay, bye." She replied and pecked his forehead before walking out.
  • Lydia head straight to their apartment to freshen up, she got there and took her bath then changed her clothes.
  • She walked out of her house and head to the club, she got there and met it empty, she frowned and brought out her ohone to call her boss (Miss Claire) when she noticed her sitting at with a man.
  • She noticed huge men were all standing around the club then she looked outside and noticed the black cars outside.
  • Miss Claire noticed her presence and waved at her, Lydia smiled and walked to her.
  • She got to where they were and she greeted them, Miss Claire gave her a sign telling her to sit.
  • She sat down the short man turned to her.
  • "She is indeed pretty." The man said with a smile.
  • "Of course, I told you that I know the best person for the job."
  • "Indeed." He replied and they both shared a short laugh.
  • All of it seemed weird to Lydia and she watched them.
  • "So you are Lydia?" The man asked.
  • "Yes I am."
  • "I believe your boss here has already explained all you need to do for you, are there any questions or complains?"
  • "Yeah, if it's successful and I kill him, I hope I won't get arrested on be in trouble?"
  • "Not at all, everything will be taken care of, all you have to do is kill him. Any other questions?"
  • "Yeah, are you really paying me five hundred ion dollars?"
  • "Of course and who knows? I might change my mind and double it."
  • "Wow, really?"
  • "Yeah, if the job is well done."
  • "It will be."
  • "Okay, we will be watching your every move with him."
  • "Okay, no problem."
  • "But there are three important rules though."
  • "What are they?"
  • "Number one, you can not tell him about this."
  • "I can never do that."
  • "Number two, you must not fall in love with him."
  • "I can never do that also."
  • "And lastly, the most important rule of all. You have the maximum of three months to carry out your job, failure to do so you will be killed and no one will know what happened to you." He said and Lydia froze.
  • "Wait, what?"
  • "You heard me right." He added and Lydia turned to Miss Claire.
  • "Miss Claire, how come you never told me this?"
  • "Aren't you going to do it? Three months is a lot of time."
  • "A lot can happen in three months." Lydia muttered and sighed.
  • "Deal? It's not too late to back out."
  • "Am not backing out, it's a deal."
  • "Okay then, you have to sign this papers."
  • The man said and signalled to a guard with a brief case, the guard got the signal and walked to him with it.
  • They brought out a paper and a pen, without hesitation or going through it, Lydia signed the paper and the man smiled.
  • "You can start the job tomorrow, all the details you need will be given to you now." The man told her and gave her a small box. She opened it and saw pictures of Logan Griffo and some papers.
  • "That is everything you need to know about him, where he goes, the time he goes, his company."
  • "What about his house?" She asked and the man laughed.
  • "Logan Griffo doesn't have a house he has houses around New York City, you can't tell which one he stays in every night."
  • "How sure are you that this information are accurate then?"
  • "Fifty percent should be accurate and fifty percent ain't."
  • "Okay."
  • "Oh, one more thing Lydia, always remember you are dealing with someone very smart, any mistake you make can lead to your death." He said and chuckled which made Lydia's heart skip a beat.
  • "Sure." She replied and faked a smile.
  • "Nice doing business with you, have a nice day." He said and stood up, he head out of the club and the guards followed him.
  • Lydia sighed and stared at the box, she felt a hand on hers and looked up to see Miss Claire.
  • "It's fine Lydia, everything is going to be fine."
  • "I hope so."
  • ********
  • HOURS LATER
  • "Am back." Lydia giggled happily as she walked into Henry's ward with a bag of snacks and food.
  • "Hey." Henry called and she sat beside him.
  • "You missed me right?" She joked and he laughed.
  • "I didn't." He replied and she laughed.
  • She brought out the food and opened it.
  • "I cooked this pasta myself and I got you some snacks, do you like it?"
  • "Yes, thanks."
  • "You are welcome, should I feed you?"
  • "My hands are still working Lydia, not all my body is numb."
  • "Sorry." She laughed and gave him a fork.
  • He slowly ate it with a smile and Lydia sighed, it was hard for Henry cause his hands kept shaking but he didn't want his sister to feel bad and cry again.
  • "Henry, let me just feed you, you don't have to stress yourself."
  • "Am sorry." He sighed and she smiled.
  • "It's fine, come on. Open up." She said and put it in his mouth, she fed him till he was okay and she smiled.
  • "So guess what?"
  • "Wait, aren't you eating?"
  • "I ate before coming."
  • "Okay, what am I guessing?"
  • "I got a new job and trust me the pay is high and its better, well not really better but its good."
  • "Okay, you are just mixing words up, just tell me what the job is about and what's the pay?"
  • "Well, the pay is really high though."
  • "How high?"
  • "Like thousands."
  • "What?" Are you suppose to kill someone?" Henry joked and Lydia froze thinking of a quick response.
