Chapter 4 The Offered

  • Pharm placed the plate of his lunch on the table. He sat next to Lam, across from Forth.
  • Today, Pharm accidentally came to Forth in the engineering cafetaria at lunch time. His arrival caused quite a stir. No one doesn't know who Doc Phana is, a member of the Crazy Doc gank from the medical.
  • Pharm is a campus moon, handsome, tall, kind, and a genius. Unfortunately, he already has a boyfriend and everyone knows that he is crazy about his cute boyfriend--Wayar from Biology faculty.
  • Forth was a bit surprised when a few hours earlier Pharm had sent a message that he wanted to talk to Forth, so Forth invited Pharm to lunch in the engineering cafeteria and joined him.
  • "So have you found a suitable apartment, Forth?" Pharm asked, taking a bite of his food.
  • Forth shook his head and sighed. "Not yet, Pha. It turned out to be difficult."
  • Lam opened her bottle of mineral water. "I heard you bought an apartment. You're moving there with Nong Yar?"
  • "Well, that's been my wish since the day we first started dating," Pharm says with a laugh. "Wayar is still very innocent and his father loves him too much, so I took the time to save and last month I decided to pay the down payment and the first year installment of an apartment. I'm just waiting for the green light from Wayar's father to bring him to live with me."
  • "You're great, Pha," Lam said with a thumbs up. Forth also raised two thumbs. "Man indeed."
  • "What about Rain? Looks like he hasn't found a suitable place for him either, right?" asked Pharm.
  • "Well, we intend to continue the search this afternoon. Tomorrow is Saturday, so we can continue if we still don't find what we want," replied Forth.
  • "Look, Forth, my uncle just told me that he wants to sell his house because at the end of this month he has to move to work in Malaysia. I think there's nothing wrong with offering you the house, who knows you might be interested," said Pharm. "I heard Rain talk about the type of apartment you want and I think it far exceeds your expectations for an apartment."
  • Forth looked interested. "How's the house doing?"
  • "The building is completely new, not even two years ago my uncle made it himself. He is an architect. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one bathrooms, an open living room that merges with the kitchen and dining room, a small garden with a pool of ornamental fish in the back, a garage for three cars and a fairly large lawn in front of the house. On the second floor there are two more bedrooms, with two bathrooms inside each bedroom and an open room up to the balcony overlooking the back garden. My uncle also made a small gazebo in the side yard of the house. ."
  • "Why didn't you buy it, Pha?" asked Lam, putting away his plate. He has finished eating.
  • Pharm laughed and shook his head. "I don't have that much money, Lam. I still have to wait another five years or so before I can make more money and buy a house like that. I want make a burden to my parent with a whining to buy that house for me. My parent had gave their money to my education. I want take specialis, too. Medical is expensive."
  • "Wayar might want to share. His father is very rich. He is the founder of BeLoved Yar, the largest garment company in Asia, right," said Lam, raising an eyebrow.
  • "I don't want to ask for any of Yo's father's money," said Pharm firmly. "I have to prove myself that I'm worthy of his son on my own terms."
  • "It's about self-respect, Lam," Forth said, patting Lam on the shoulder. "It's like Park told you when he bought his own farm instead of receiving land from his father. He told me that he want to make you proud of him."
  • Lam blushed at Forth's words. Forth and Pharm laughed seeing it. Forth gulped down his mineral water and then looked at Phana.
  • "Well, Pha, why did you offer it to me? I don't have much money either."
  • Pharm smiled. "You're filing a patent for your invention, right? I heard it from Rain. He kept telling me about it until Kit and I memorized every detail."
  • Forth laughed and felt his heart happy to hear Pharm's words about Rain talked about him. "I'm waiting for the results. Maybe the day after tomorrow, if they like my work."
  • "I offered you the house because I thought you could afford it with your patent money. My uncle gave three installments in two years. Even if your patent doesn't pass, I'm sure your family won't mind helping pay for the house. You're a Jamorhnoom. One of your brothers can afford it, bought three houses like that."
  • "You're exaggerating, Pha," Forth said with a laugh. "Tell you what. Give me the address and I'll have a look there looking for an apartment with Beam tomorrow. If I like it, I'll find a way to buy it. If I can't afford it, I'll offer it to my family. My mother always love to invest some money and I think a house is a good investment, at least, for her youngest child."
  • "Prince Forth always gets what he wants, Pha," Lam snapped, rolling his eyes.
  • Pharm laughed. "I'll send you your address this afternoon. All right, gentlemen, nice to do business with you. I have to get back now. My class starts in fifteen minutes." Pharm gives his fist to bro fist with Lam and Forth, then walks away from there.
  • "Let's go to class. I don't want to be late for Professor Jay's class." Said Lam.
  • Forth followed Lam's footsteps while sending messages on his phone.
  • [Rain, I'll pick you up at 4. Want to have dinner at a dimsum place later?]
  • Forth smiled when he saw Rain's reply two minutes later.
  • [Sure. We can spend more time to hunting. After all, it's friday. Yeay.]
  • [Yeah. We can continue our hunting tomorrow, too. I had a recommendation place to check.]
  • [Cool.]
  • As Forth sat in his seat next to Lam in the classroom, a message from Pharm appeared. Pharm sent him the address of his uncle's house for sale and some photos detailing the house.
  • Forth looked at the photos and thought. He replies to Pharm's message.
  • [Pha, can you not tell Rain about the house? I don't want to discourage him because he thinks I'll stop accompanying him looking for an apartment.]
  • [Sure, Forth. Let me know if you're interested.]
  • [I am interesting and I have plan to do. But, maybe, I have to conviced Rain about that house. Who know he also interesting and I can take him to the house with me. That house is too big for just one man to life.]
  • [I know what you mean. Don't worry, I won't tell anything to Rain. I am just glad you keep accompany him this time. Thank you, buddy.]
  • Then Forth typed another message.
  • [Phi Wind, I heard you just broke through the tender for endoscopy machine for all the hospitals in New York? Can you lend me some money, Phi? I need to buy something. I will pay you back. Promise.]
