Chapter 29 Granny Talk

  • No one dared to move. It even seemed like everyone wished the breath they were exhaling wasn't audible. Bian and Rain were deathly pale, as was no different from Torn and Forth.
  • Forth's hands on the table were clenched into fists, until his knuckles turned white. Rain wanted to touch and hold on tight. He understood that Forth was now making up his mind, perhaps gathering strength and determination to fight his grandmother if she opposed him, or perhaps gathering the courage to let Rain out of his life.
  • Rain didn't know what would happen to him if Forth took the second choice. He might die miserably, or be single for life because only Forth he loved. Rain felt Bian's hand which was holding his hand under the table became moist and hot. He knew that his brother was thinking the same way.
