Chapter 6

  • Thanks to the suggestion from my super-genius colleague, I'm now right at the door of the boardroom. I looked at this document in my hand with an uneasy feeling. While biting my lower lip, I walked back and forth in front of the door to the room I didn't want to enter at this time. In the end, I decided to just step back and ask them to replace me to submit the evidence I was carrying at this time. As I was getting ready to step back and leave the door of this room, I accidentally bumped into someone who was in front of me.
  • "What are you doing here?"
  • This voice!?
  • I immediately lifted my head and almost jumped when I saw the person who was currently in front of me.
  • "You're ..." we said together, pointing at each other.
  • Swallowing hard, I pointed towards the door of the room where I was currently standing. "So, is this your room?"
  • He nodded his head. "What is wrong? Is there a problem?"
  • I quickly shook my head and tried to remain professional. "I have something to discuss with you. Can we come into your office right now?"
  • He seemed to consider what I said for a while, it made me feel even more worried. My hand tightly gripped the document that Norman had given me earlier while moving my fingers restlessly.
  • What if he doesn't agree with my suggestion and just throws me out?
  • Then his eyes looked at me and the documents I brought and he nodded his head. "Yes. Please come in. I have something to ask you too."
  • I breathed a sigh of relief at the answer earlier. Then he opened the door to his room and invited me to enter afterward. Once I entered his room, he locked the door and hugged me immediately.
  • "Master." he said, leaning his head on my right shoulder.
  • "Who said you can hug me casually?" I asked in an annoyed tone. I immediately stepped on his two shoes with all my strength until he was forced to release his embrace from me.
  • "Sorry, Master." he said, holding his legs which hurt as a result of my stamping earlier.
  • I ignored his apology and immediately sat down on one of the chairs in front of his desk. On the table, there is a signboard with the full name and title of the person who hugged me earlier.
  • Dominik Lawrence. Chief Executive Officer.
  • I’m dead! If it's like this, it's really awkward, right? Ouch, if I remember what I did yesterday, I think I'd better run from here!
  • While hiding my current anxiety, I placed the document containing the evidence Norman gathered on his desk. Dominik immediately shifted his gaze to the document that I had put down earlier and immediately sat on his chair. His eyes seemed busy reading the pages one by one, while occasionally staring at me.
  • "What is this?" he asked, taking a quick glance at me.
  • I adjusted my seat, which had almost slumped down with anxiety, trying to remain calm. "As you can see right now. That's all the data on Mr. Tony Franklin. He has always left all of his responsibilities to all of us, and has not contributed anything to the company."
  • He nodded his head and returned to focus on the document he was reading. "Looks like there hasn't been a problem with Tony Franklin. So why are you reporting now?"
  • "Because no one dared to report it to you. After all, at that time we didn't have solid evidence, because he always pointed to one of his subordinates whenever he made a mistake and said that it was all his subordinates' fault, even though it was all pure incompetence." I said, clenching my hands, trying to hold back my irritation when I talked about my boss.
  • "Oh ..." he said calmly. His eyes continued to read every page of the document I gave him until the end. Then he turned his gaze back at me.
  • "Now I understand the problem. Don’t worry, I'll take care of this. You can go back to your room now." he said. His eyes seemed to be glancing briefly at the name tag I was wearing while muttering something.
  • As soon as I heard the answer, I let out a sigh of relief and immediately got up from my chair. Before I left the room, I turned my body towards him.
  • "Dominik?" I asked.
  • "What else?" he replied, glaring intently at me. "Wanna add more work to me?"
  • I immediately approached his chair and pulled him up from his chair. Then I turned his body a few times with a worried face.
  • "What are you doing?" he asked with an annoyed face.
  • "Does it still hurt?"
  • He immediately smiled at the question I asked earlier. His hands immediately pushed me to his desk and held my hands so I could not move.
  • "Now you're just worried about me. Why? Afraid because you just found out that your dog is the head of the company where you work?" he asks, raising an eyebrow while lifting my chin at him.
  • I looked back at him with a lazy face. "If so, why? Can't I worry about my own dog?"
  • His face suddenly changed when he heard my answer earlier. He smiles at me, makes me want to slap both of his cheeks with all my might if only I didn't remember that we were currently in his office.
  • "What are you doing with those unclear smiles? If there's no business, I'll go back first." I said, releasing the hand that was holding mine and preparing to leave.
  • "Master?" he asked, making me turn my body towards him.
  • "What?"
  • "Can I call you Leah?" he asked with a face begging to me. I just agreed lazily and walked back to the door of his room. When I tried to open the door to his room, I just remembered that he had locked the door to his room before inviting me to talk about my boss who will soon be my former boss.
  • "Dominik, can you open the door?" I asked, holding the doorknob and trying to open the door to his room.
  • Instead of answering my question, he walked over to me and pushed me until my body hit the black sofa chair in his room right now. Then he walked over to the sofa chair where he pushed me earlier and sat next to me while stroking my cheek slowly and moving towards my neck, making me moan in the lowest possible voice so as not to be heard outside the room.
  • "It's still the same as yesterday. Sensitive in the neck. I like it." he says, turning his face down my neck and licking my neck slowly.
  • "You're really troublesome. Still not enough yesterday, huh?" I said, holding his cock that was getting tense while pressing it hard, making him grimace in pain.
  • "Sorry. I just really hated seeing you with that man earlier."
  • I pressed my hand back against his cock, and glared at him. "Who are you? You are no more than my dog. Don't expect more than that."
  • "Even though you said he’s nobody, you didn’t refuse when he picked you up to the office. But when I did it, you refused it." he said with an expression on his face that was about to cry. Either because he couldn't stand to see me with the guy named Harris Keith, or cry because I pressed his cock too hard.
  • I stopped my hand movements and lifted his chin. "Oh. So my dog is jealous now that I see someone else?"
  • He nodded his head at my question earlier while restraining himself from crying. "Yes. Could I be jealous of anyone who wants to get closer to my Master?"
  • I just laughed at his honest question. Then I pushed my hand to his body slowly, allowing me to sit on the sofa chair. I played with my hair, which was a bit messy because of his impulse, biting my lower lip.
  • "Actually I don't know who he is either. But it seems like he has something to do with me in the past."
  • "You mean, Master? You don't know who that person was?"
  • I nodded my head. "I don't know. It's long story if I tell you everything. Anyway, there is a thing you have to remember."
  • "What is that?"
  • "You can't be jealous when I'm close to other people. If you do that, I won't interfere in your private affairs with the women who clustered around you earlier in the lobby."
  • "If Master doesn't like me to be close to other women, I can keep my distance from all of them. But, when it comes to Master's request not to be jealous of other people who are close to Master, I don't think I can."
  • I twitched his right ear as hard as I could when I heard the answer earlier. "Who asked for your opinion?"
  • "Sorry, Master. I was wrong. I will learn not to be jealous of anyone who approaches Master."
  • His answer earlier made me nod in satisfaction and let my hand go from his red ears. While stroking his red ears, he got up from where he was sitting and walked towards the door of his room. His hand took the room key which he kept in his pocket, opened the door to his room.
  • "You may go now." he said, trying to act as usual.
  • I smiled at him and walked towards the exit. Then I bowed my body towards him while thanking him for taking the time, followed by a nod of his head and his face which has now returned to the figure of a grumpy man, inviting me to come out of the room with a reluctant face.
  • As soon as I left his room, he immediately slammed the door right in front of me, making me and several employees walking behind me startled to hear that. In my heart, I cursed my dog earlier because he almost made me have a heart attack because of the shock.
  • I'll take revenge on what you did. Just wait and see!
  • One of the female employees who had walked behind me immediately approached me with a worried face.
  • "Are you okay?" she asked, to which I shook my head.
  • "Mr. Dominik is usually like that. He's easy to get mad. Surely you were scolded by him, right?"
  • I just nodded my head at the question earlier while pretending to cry. She then took me to her department room, followed by some of her colleagues who immediately came over to me and helped me cheer me up by giving me various kinds of snacks that I could not refuse.
  • If they knew that it wasn't Dominik who scolded him earlier, but me. I said to myself, smiling as they comforted me from crying.
  • After I stopped my pretentious crying, I thanked them for giving me so many treats and got ready to leave when one of the staff in the room offered me a small cloth bag to hold the treats they gave me, which I gladly accepted.
  • "Thank you for everything." I said, bending my head towards them.
  • "Sure. You can come here anytime, okay?" said the female employee who invited me to her department earlier, from the name tag named Jennifer, waving her hand at me.
  • After I walked away from him, I looked at this snack in my bag while smiling happily.
  • It's not in vain that I pretended to cry earlier. Got this many snacks ...
  • Quickly I walked to my department room and put the bag earlier on the table. I pay attention to my surroundings; my colleagues are busy doing their duties. Including Shelly, who seemed to be free before, is now flipping through documents that seemed to be given to me when I wasn't around because as far as I know there is nothing but chocolate biscuits and a small blackish-brown tote bag.
  • "I'll help Patricia work through all the documents. It's lunch time. What was that? Did it work?"
  • I shrugged my shoulders rather lazily, pointing at the cloth bag containing the snacks that the people had given me. Her eyes immediately sparkled when she saw the snack that was in front of her at this time, and immediately called everyone in our room (in whispered voices so as not to be heard by our boss) to gather at my table.
  • "The people from the Marketing department gave it to me when they saw our CEO slams the door right in front of me." I said, distributing the snacks to all my colleagues, including Shelly, who had been impatient to receive the snack from me.
  • Upon hearing my explanation earlier, Patricia and Norman's faces immediately felt guilty because they had suggested that I meet Dominik Lawrence. While gazing at the snack in their respective hands, they looked at me with a look of pity, making me feel bad.
  • "Sorry Leah. I never thought he would be that rude to you. Indeed, the gossip is true that he is the type of person who is fierce and firm. But never thought it would be that bad." said Patricia, repeatedly apologizing to me.
  • "I'm also sorry because I forced you to meet Mr. Dominik. You got scolded when you walked into his room?" asked Norman with a guilty face.
  • I remember back what happened in the room earlier. "He asked, why did we just report on our boss now? Then I said because previously we were still gathering evidence that could incriminate the position of our beloved boss."
  • "So what? He agreed?" asked Norman with a sparkling face.
  • "He's just saying," I said, putting on the saddest facial expressions I could, making all my colleagues take deep breaths, wondering what I am going to say next.
  • "He's going to take care of that." I continued, smiling satisfied at them.
  • When I heard my answer earlier, all my colleagues, including Norman, immediately shouted with joy, which made our boss feel annoyed with what they were doing earlier. He immediately came out of his room and asked all of us to be quiet and get back to work. Obediently, they all returned to their desks, while I was hiding the joy I now also felt.
  • Sorry, everyone. I can't tell you the details. How could I tell you that our CEO is the submissive type?
  • I shook my head quickly and refocused on my task. I kept staring at the computer screen until I didn't realize it was time for lunch.
  • "Leah, let's eat." Shelly asked, tugging at my arm half sulking.
  • "It will be finished soon. Wait for a little more, okay?" I said while revising some of the pages my boss asked me to fix. Satisfied with the results, I saved my work and put my computer into sleep mode before I agreed to Shelly's offer to have lunch at the company cafeteria.
  • "Where's Norman?" I asked, glancing around us.
  • "Already ahead. He said he wanted to find a seat for us, so we don't need to find a seat again." said Shelly, smiling shyly.
  • If only I can bring my dog to eat lunch together like them.
  • "Oh." I replied in a nonchalant tone and walked away as if I was annoyed because I still didn't accept that my friend who was still single now had a boyfriend.
  • Shelly immediately caught up with me, who was already walking ahead of her. "Wait! You're still upset, aren't you? Because Norman and I are already dating, right?" she asked, to which I only replied by turning my face away.
  • "Don't be angry. Yes, I know I was wrong because I didn't tell you first." she says, leaning her head against my arm, which I quickly brush off.
  • "How can you be a traitor like now?
  • "But I promise I will still spend my time with you. Norman is okay with that. He said even though we are dating, I can still hang out with you and the others."
  • I just smiled while stroking his head. "Good then."
  • "So you're not angry anymore?" she asked with a questioning face.
  • "I’m not really angry, actually." I answered, then froze when I saw the figure of the person in front of me today.
  • "What's the matter, Leah?" asked Shelly, who was confused to see me just frozen. Then her gaze shifted to my current gaze, and immediately she froze with me.
  • At this time, in the corridor where we walked towards the company canteen, I saw the figure of Dominik who was walking past the two of us. With his stern face, he let the crowd of female employees walk along as if he were one of the gods in Greek mythology whose existence was worthy of appreciation. It seemed that he had really kept his word to keep his distance from the female employees who surrounded him, judging by the movement of his body trying to leave some distance from them all. Unfortunately, they did not understand what Dominik meant and were getting closer to him.
  • I caught a glimpse of his eyes begging me to help him stay away from the female employees who started to sound noisy in my ears. But I decided to ignore his request earlier, while taking the still frozen hand of Shelly, to walk back to the company canteen. Then we went away from him, who looked sad because I did not grant his wish earlier.
  • Your own fault. Who told you to slam the door in front of me earlier?
