• “Hey Katherine, where are you?” Katie asked the moment I answered the call, I had just left my dad's place. The house felt silent this morning when we were having breakfast, I wondered what was wrong if they had an argument but neither of them said no and that it was just once in a while thing when couples are short of words to say to each other.
• I hadn't bought their silly excuses but in order not to pry deeper I had let it go hoping they would tell me when they have both calmed down, I told them I would be leaving after breakfast.
