Chapter 6

  • Lisa joined the man at a table, which was placed in an extremely dark corner of the club, and she looked around inquisitively. Other than the people that were in the lighter part of the club, you could hardly see the people next to you.
  • Suddenly, her eyes connected with her former table, which was now occupied by a couple.
  • Curiously, Lisa looked at the man who had not said a word to her since they had been seated and said, "Was this your former seat?"
  • The man shifted in his seat but didn't say a word.
  • "Hmmmm. I guess it was, " Lisa said, nodding her head countless times. "So, the whole time, you were watching me from this dark corner.
  • Lisa's stubborn part found that very funny, and Lisa began to laugh until she felt tears in her eyes.
  • "That was so cute." She laughed harder and clapped her hands. "I've only read about knights in shining armor in novels. I didn't know that I'd get to meet mine in real life. "
  • She rolled her eyes into the back of her eyes and used her hand to fan herself. "Oh, my gosh!"
  • She looked at him, leaned across the table and said. "Were you watching me the whole time?" she scoffed. "This is unbelievable."
  • Stop making fun of yourself, Lisa. Go home and sleep, her subconscious said.
  • Lisa's stubborn part scoffed, and Lisa sat upright. She focused her eyes on the man that was sitting across the table and said. "If you want me gone, just tell me your name."
  • "I have rules, Lisa," the man said,
  • "Rules, huh? And these rules were made by who? "
  • "Me," he replied.
  • Lisa scoffed. "Just give me a fake name then."
  • "Lying is against one of those rules."
  • "Wow. Wow. Just wow."
  • Lisa's stubborn part stomped on the ground in anger and became more determined. Lisa scoffed and looked at the man in front of her. "Rules, my foot "
  • He said he had rules and she was determined to make him break them one after the other, and she did not care if it was going to take her a day, weeks, a year, or ten years to do so.
  • She turned around in her seat and spotted a bartender in the lighter part of the club. She clicked her fingers and shouted as loud as possible. "Hey, bartender! Bartender!"
  • "You don't have to shout. He can't even hear you," the man said.
  • "Bartender!!" She shouted harder.
  • "There's one standing in front of you," the man said.
  • When Lisa heard this, she stopped shouting and began contemplating whether to turn around or not, because, for some unknown reason, she believed that the man was just making fun of her.
  • Finally, she turned around, and, truthfully, a bartender was standing next to her.
  • "What would you like to order?" The bartender asked.
  • "Cocktail for me and anything for him,"
  • "Lisa..." The man called, but Lisa cut him off before he could continue.
  • "Bills on me," she said. "Consider it my own way of saying thank you."
  • Lisa was served her cocktail, and the man was also served a drink.
  • About 15 minutes later, Lisa was through with her drink and ordered another.
  • The man, who hadn't touched the drink in front of him, said, "At this rate, you're going to get drunk."
  • Lisa scoffed, lifted her glass to her mouth, and said drunkenly. "Hey saviour, I can still take in four more cups and still go home by myself"
  • Lisa drank her cocktail in three chugs, forcefully put down her glass, leaned on the table, and asked drunkenly. "And what were we talking about?"
  • ~
  • After contemplating for some minutes, the man finally took a very drunk Lisa to his hotel room, laid her down on the bed, and walked out of the room.
  • He walked to the receptionist and asked her to prepare another room for him.
  • "Okay sir," the young woman said, bending her head and going through her computer.
  • A few moments later, she raised her head but didn't make eye contact with the man. She swallowed her saliva and slowly said, "There are no rooms left, sir," with the hope that her head would still be on her neck.
  • Since the receptionist had set her eyes on the man earlier that evening, she had known that the man was a lion that could reap a thousand lions apart within a second if he had to.
  • It was in his voice, in the way he carried himself, and in his eyes. And those dangerous eyes were focusing on her, trying to read her.
  • With his eyes still burning into her skin, and that of the receptionist down, silence reigned for a minute between them, but it felt like a year for the receptionist.
  • Finally, the man walked away without saying a word, and the receptionist heaved a sigh of relief.
  • The man went back to the room and sat on the couch. He looked at the girl that was sleeping carelessly on his bed and sighed.
  • The girl was definitely an exceptional.
  • The girl muttered something inaudibly and rolled on her side. She slowly opened her eyes, which were unfocused, and slowly sat up on the bed.
  • She looked around the room, got out of the bed and began to pull off her blue gown.
  • The man's eyes narrowed and he said. "And what do you think you're doing?"
  • "I'm boiling in this gown," Lisa replied.
  • The man tilted his head and looked at the air conditioner that was blowing away.
  • Lisa dropped her gown on the floor and walked back to the bed with only her bra and pants on.
  • She slumped down onto the bed and went to sleep.
  • Minutes later, the man rose on his feet, walked to the bed, and covered Lisa with a blanket before picking up her gown and putting it on the foot of the bed.
  • He walked back to the couch and scoffed. He found it unbelievably strange that he was spending his first night out on a couch.
