Chapter 24

• Jason placing his wife in the back seat then putting their child in her car seat before he put a few of their bags in the very back of the van. He made sure that Rachel's assistant rescheduled her appointments for a later time. He didn't tell her assistant everything mainly that Rachel had gotten assaulted. Jason informed the assistant that the police were involved, so if her family does call let them know to either call his or her cell phone. For everyone else just to take a message and be discreet as possible. The therapist lived further up North past Albany. It was a bit of a drive however to keep his wife and child safe he didn't care. He had rented the van and left their vehicle in the garages. He brought their dog with them. He was upset that Rachel hadn't been taking her dog with her in the office. He figured that Rachel was starting to feel safe in her own home, so that was probably why she hadn't been taking her dog with her. That was his reasoning. He got a call from Nicholas asking what was going on that his trainer told him that he needed to go with him upstate New York.
• Jason replied, "I grabbed a few things of yours when we left. I don't want to explain over the phone but all I can is: one of us should have been there. Your trainer already knows where to go so we will see you guys there soon enough."
• Nicholas wanted to ask more but he would wait till they were in person. He got off the phone and got in the car with his trainer who was stoned face. He was supposed to be helping Calvin's kids instead he failed one of them. He had been working on a specialized plan to help Rachel once her therapist had given him the green light. It would be a long drive but what the therapist found out it needed to say where it would be safe. Because this wasn't just outside forces but also a family situation as well.
