Chapter 6 The Feelings

  • Ady's POV
  • "Good morning, granny!"
  • When I was done eating breakfast the following day, my grandma heard a knock at the door. I had just finished getting ready for school and was brushing my teeth when I heard Jasper's voice in the living room.
  • I heard Jasper tell granny, "Yes, granny, we're both going to school."
  • "It's good. "Your kindness will help me worry less about my granddaughter," said granny.
  • Jasper smiled and scratched his head. "Just to be clear, granny, if your granddaughter fell in love with me, it's not my fault, right?"
  • Granny laughed at what Jasper said, but I frowned.
  • "Shhh, what are you saying? Who could fall for you?"
  • Jasper was stunned when he saw my hair over my shoulder. This is one of the hairstyles that look good on me. His face broke into a sly grin.
  • "Wait, are you trying to catch my eye?" Jasper said it with a smile and didn't take it off.
  • My eyebrows went up curiously. "Excuse me, but why should I get your attention, huh? Are you cute?"
  • Jasper grinned, "Because you let your hair down and crave my attention because I'm handsome." His eyes caressed my curly hair and the short bangs that framed my eyes.
  • "Whoa, buddy, you are way too far ahead of yourself. What's wrong with my hair?"
  • Jasper chuckled. "Well, it depends on you. You already know what we went through yesterday on the train. I'm sure you'll be haggard again." Jasper tried not to laugh at that point.
  • I furrowed my brow. "Jasper has a point, Ady. When you get out of the house, it will be hot. You'll have trouble with your hair later," said granny.
  • "Okay, granny, I'll tie my hair back," I said, rolling my eyes at Jasper.
  • Jasper's lips curled into a cute grin.
  • Jasper's POV
  • We were sitting next to each other when we got on the train. It meant we were going to have a good day. I just stared at Ady's smooth white neck captivated me. It seemed tempting to me.
  • 'Jeez, her neck is way too sexy. What if my lips...' I thought.
  • After realizing Ady was frowning at me, I looked away.
  • "What is wrong with you? Why are you looking at me?"
  • I just smiled and didn't respond. Ady pouted her lips. After getting off the train, I grabbed Ady's bag. I intended to bring it earlier, but Ady kept it from me.
  • "You don't have to, Jasper. My bag, please. I'll carry it." Ady said as she snatched her bag from me.
  • I lifted Ady's bag and grinned. And because I'm taller, Ady can't reach for her bag. She landed on my chest.
  • "Is my scent babylike?" I asked her with a teasing tone.
  • "Haist," Ady pushed me. It made me laugh. "I know that style of yours."
  • With a sneaky grin, I asked. "Really?" Ady started to walk, so I followed her.
  • "You like me, but because you're shy and stubborn, you won't admit it..." Ady said braggingly.
  • "Whoa! Really? I like you. Can't a handsome guy like me be friendly?"
  • "Friendly your foot," said Ady.
  • "Luh! Can I be friends with the foot?"
  • While laughing and conversing on the stairs, Ady nearly stumbled. After being bumped into, I almost fell down the stairs, and my backpack fell off my shoulder. I immediately grabbed Ady's arm so she wouldn't fall down the stairs.
  • "What happens?" Ady was surprised.
  • "Hey, you dumbass!" I turned to look at the man, but he was already gone, so I looked at Ady.
  • "Jeez, why are you yelling?" Ady asked me.
  • "Someone just bumped into us," I said. "If I weren't with you, I would have gone after that scumbag."
  • "I would like to encourage him. "You might get into a fight because of that," Ady warned. "I didn't fall."
  • "That's annoying—he banged into you, and fortunately, you didn't fall. I'll catch you if you fall." I winked at Ady.
  • Ady giggled. It's nice that you're handsome; if not, I might get furious quickly. You're crazy!"
  • "Let's get going,"
  • I startled Ady by holding her hand down the stairs. Ady tried to get my hand off her. I faced her on the sidewalk.
  • "I want to hold your hand. Just let me..."
  • Ady was a bit surprised. My face was grave. Before we reached her school, she removed her hand. She looked back and saw nothing unusual.
  • "You assumed I wasn't aware. Oh, you want to tease me, don't you? Huh?" Ady said. I handed her a bag, which she took.
  • I smiled and shook my head. "Does it seem obvious? You liked it!"
  • "Sorry, but no," Ady said. "You should not be doing that."
  • "Huh?" I scowled.
  • If you're behaving like that, how can I have a boyfriend? By then, I'll be an old maid, and it may be your fault." Ady hung her backpack over her shoulder.
  • "I'll take you on if no one else does. I think that..." I slightly raised my two hands in front of Ady's chest and tried to imagine how big her bosom was. "It will pass my standard. Anyway, what size is it? A or B?"
  • Ady swiftly threw her canister at my arm, but I dodged it. "You're a pervert!"
  • After a hearty laugh, I took a few steps backward. I blew Ady a kiss, "See you later, my love!" I laughed at how she looked.
  • I stopped as Ady entered the front gates. I gazed toward Ady's school and breathed.
  • 'He wouldn't have been at Ady's school,' I thought.
