Chapter 16 Lady Marconda Gets The Book Of Spell From The Devil

  • “O Master! Thank you for being so kind to me.” said the ogress. “I’ve heard of ‘the book of spell’ a lot that belonged to the most powerful wizard of early centuries – Lord J. Voltago.” She paused awaiting the devil’s reaction, gazing at his face.
  • The devil, for a moment, went in the past in his thoughts and nodded his head having discovered the image of Lord J.Voltago in his mind who had been very famous in olden days for his magical powers. “I need that book, my lord!” the witch continued, “if you please!” Devil Baragolas smiled in a nasty way and whispered something that she couldn’t hear.
  • And now, within seconds, he was holding a very old book – perhaps several hundred years old – written on sheets of papers or something like that, completely handwritten. The thick cover of the book that was made of pure leather, was torn up from several places on which was written in bold letters – “Cast Your Spell!” Lady Marconda took the book with a mixture of great pleasure and enthusiasm. She bowed her head in gratitude. The devil disappeared with the words – “Keep it carefully, Lady Marconda! It’ll certainly help you take place of Lord J. Voltago… ha… ha… ha…”
