Chapter 221 She Brought It Upon Herself

  • Yoel already readied the car, which was parked in front of the house. Before getting into the car, Ziven paused in his movements. “What’s the matter, Young Master?” Yoel was in a hurry to start the search for Willow, so he assumed that Ziven had changed his mind when he noticed the pause in the latter’s movements.
  • To be honest, Yoel didn’t really care about Willow. In fact, he didn’t like her all that much to begin with. However, the Meyers owed her one, so everybody had been paying close attention to her. If something happened to Willow, who both John and Natasha cared about, while on Ziven’s watch, the Meyers would be holding that against Ziven in the future for sure.
  • Therefore, Yoel was looking out for Ziven. Even if Ziven didn’t care about his standing within the family, Yoel did care. As the evening breeze blew, Yoel turned around to gaze at Ziven’s lean figure that had a mysteriousness that he was never able to read.
