Chapter 28 The Party

• Ekaterina made good on her promise of taking good care of Andrei until he completely recovered. It made them grow closer and soon, she didn't feel awkward being around him anymore. He was quite the jester type so every minute with him had her laughing at one joke or the other. She still only regarded him as Vadim's cousin and a friend of hers.
• Ekaterina didn't know that Vadim was quietly watching everything that was going on and he quite frankly wasn't happy about any of it. He didn't like how close they were getting because he was the one supposed to be spending time with her. But he said nothing because he didn't want to seem like the overly jealous type, he also wanted to completely gain her trust and in order to do that, he knew it wouldn't be wise to exercise any right on her yet because she had not yet accepted him.
• Vadim's birthday was coming up and though he didn't want to celebrate it, Katya made him promise to after she found out from Andrei. When he still protested, she simply had his mother order him into agreeing. He finally agreed to host a big party for his birthday on her request.
