Chapter 23 Tension Rising

• No matter whoever it was, he swore to himself that he would not only catch the culprit but make sure to end them. For having the audacity to target his mate, or rather his source of power, the penalty could only be death. One thing was sure for now, he had to make sure that Andrei would be fine and he also had to protect Ekaterina at all costs. Nothing had to happen to her or everything would go down the drain. He wondered if someone had found out that Ekaterina was the Scarlet Wolf. But if that was the case, the person would have tried to kidnap her instead of killing her, right? So that couldn't be it. He tried to see if he could get any clues as to who could be responsible.
• "Did you see who shot the arrow?" Vadim questioned a still frightened Xenia. "No I didn't, Alpha. It all happened so quickly, all I saw was a cloaked person fleeing." Xenia revealed.
• "Did anyone else see anything?" Vadim questioned the guards. "No Alpha, it was only her Highness, Xenia and Prince Andrei that were in the garden at the time." One of the guards reported.
