Chapter 2 Bad Intentions

  • Vadim turned away from Ekaterina, ready to leave the room. "Where are you going? You can't just leave me here, get back here!" She cried, standing up from the bed where she had formerly been sitting but he neither replied to her nor turned back.
  • He left the room, closing and locking the door behind him. He walked through the huge halls, heading for the restroom. There was a simple way to prove to her that he was telling the truth, he just needed to transform and he knew he couldn't do it in front of her yet.
  • Transforming into a wolf would require him to take his clothes off and she wasn't ready for that yet, she would take it the wrong way and he didn't want that. He would just have to endure her naivety for a little while longer .
  • He bumped into Raisa on his way to the restroom. "Vadim slow down, I can't help but wonder where you could be going in such haste." She teased with a smile.
  • "Sorry Rai, but I need to go." He said but she blocked him. "I'm sure nothing could ever be as important as me." She said with a seductive smile.
  • Vadim groaned, he didn't have time for this but he knew that if he didn't tell her about his plans, she would keep pestering him about it and he couldn't have that. Everything had to be perfect in order for his plans to succeed.
  • He grabbed her hand and dragged her to a corner of the room but she didn't protest because she trusted him. "There actually is something more important than you at the moment, Raisa. I'm trying to keep this as quiet as possible for the moment. I just found my mate who turns out to be the one and only Scarlet wolf." Vadim said in low tunes and Raisa's eyes widened at his words.
  • She had thought that the Scarlet wolf had just been a myth because the last Scarlet wolf had died two centuries ago.
  • "The Scarlet wolf? But how can you be sure she's the Scarlet wolf?" Raisa questioned.
  • "I sensed it and she has the birthmark to prove it. Luckily, she doesn't know about it because her wolf hasn't manifested yet. I doubt she has one because when I first saw her, I not only sensed that she was my mate, but I also found out that she was the Scarlet wolf so I did some research on her and found out that she's a hybrid.
  • I was shocked because hybrids are usually considered an abomination but she must be special and that's why the goddess chose her to become the Scarlet wolf. She's lived her whole life as a human and her mother never told her so she has no idea what she is . The idiot doesn't even know that Werewolves exist. She's getting married in a few days but luckily, I found her a few days before her engagement so I had to pose as her father's business partner in order to be able to kidnap her from her engagement.
  • This might actually work to our advantage. Since she doesn't know about her true identity, I can easily gain her trust and make her relinquish her power to me. After getting her power, I'll become the most powerful Alpha that ever lived ." Vadim relayed his plan to Raisa and she grinned from ear to ear.
  • She kissed him and he reciprocated, grabbing her waist and deepening the kiss. They broke apart for air.
  • "This is exactly why I love you, you have such a devious mind and it's exhilarating. I'll support you through it all and we'll become the most powerful Alpha couple that ever lived." Raisa said excitedly and Vadim smiled at her .
  • "Yes. And in order for that to happen, we must keep our relationship a secret, I don't want her to become suspicious of my intentions. We must also keep the fact that she's the Scarlet wolf hidden at all costs. I' ll need you to keep a close eye on her, she mustn't leave this palace because she has a distinct scent. If she comes in front of another Alpha, they'll know and they'll try to take her by force and I can't have that. I have to mark her as my property first before anyone can find out about her identity so I have to seduce her very soon. Can you do that?" He asked and caressed Raisa's cheek.
  • "Of course Vadim, you don't even have to ask. I'm ready to do anything for you but I'm worried about something." She said and put on a sad face.
  • Vadim raised her face up so that her eyes could meet him. "And what could that be?" He questioned.
  • "I'm worried that while trying to seduce her, you'll fall for her and forget all about me." Raisa complained, playing with her hair and this caused Vadim to laugh.
  • "Really, Raisa? Sometimes your words never fail to amuse me. You should know that that could never happen. You're the only one that's in my heart and I don't care if Selene chose that ignorant bitch for me, you' re the only one I want.
  • I only want to use her for her power. By the time I'm done with her, I'll reject her and send her away and I'll officially marry you as my mate." Vadim said and Raisa grabbed him in a hug . That was all the assurance she needed.
  • "Alright that's enough now. I need to go prove that I'm a wolf to my 'mate.'" Vadim said, emphasising the word, 'mate' and this caused Raisa to giggle.
  • Vadim headed towards the restroom while Raisa smiled and continued on her way.
  • Raisa Romanoff and Vadim Alexei Levin had not started off as friends.
  • Raisa had first hated Vadim because she felt he was too proud. He had always been the playboy type who young She-wolves readily threw themselves at with the hope of becoming 'the one'. She was more of a dominant girl and had sworn never to submit to anyone, not even her fated mate and certainly not this peacock Prince.
  • They had met for the first time at a party that her sister had forced her to attend.
  • When Vadim saw her, he instantly took a liking to her.
  • She was beautiful and hot and he knew he wanted to have her but no matter what he did, she wouldn't give in and this frustrated him because it was a direct hit to his ego. He had never been refused by any girl before.
  • When Raisa's dad became the Beta and her family moved from the Pack house into the palace, this gave Vadim more chance to court her because he after all did love a good challenge. During this time, they found themselves falling in love with each other and they'd entered into a relationship.
  • Vadim considered Raisa an enchantress because she was the only woman who had succeeded in luring him in and actually making him stay. She was especially very good at satisfying him and he loved it, she turned out to be an obedient girlfriend and after their relationship began , his flirting with other girls became less and less until he stopped altogether and decided to concentrate on their relationship.
  • He didn't care if Raisa didn't turn out to be his fated mate, he had already set his mind on rejecting whoever turned out to be his mate as long as it wasn't Raisa.
  • The goddess had been benevolent enough to make the Scarlet wolf his mate so he would just have to stay away from Raisa for a while in order to get what he wanted. After his plan had been achieved, he would do away with Ekaterina.
  • Vadim was certainly not ready to consider her, especially not the fact that she was his mate. He couldn't even care if her feelings would be hurt after finding out that he had only used her and stolen her power from her. In fact, he would rather enjoy watching her cry and suffer for making him go through so much work just to get her on his side. The thought of what he would gain at the end of it all would make her tantrums so much more bearable.
  • He reached the restroom and quickly discarded his clothes and as soon as he was completely nude, he transformed into a big, beautiful wolf with black fur mixed with white, gorgeous green eyes gleaming.
  • He left the bathroom and ran through the hall, glad that Raisa wasn't there anymore. He got to the door of the room in which he was holding Ekaterina captive. He transformed back to his human form and unlocked the door before transforming back to his wolf form. He pushed the door open with his paws to find Ekaterina moving back and forth, a look of distress on her face.
  • She turned to the door to see if her captor had finally returned and she received the biggest shock of her life. She saw a wolf at the door and her heart nearly jumped to her throat as it advanced towards her.
  • She retreated backwards as it came closer. She couldn't help but wonder how a wolf could have gotten into the place, was this her captor's way of killing her? Having her eaten by a wolf?
  • She fell back on the bed and pushed herself more into it. "You don't have to be so scared Ekaterina, it's just me." Vadim said and Ekaterina felt like the day couldn't get any worse.
  • First, she was kidnapped and now, she was about to be eaten by a talking wolf. But come to think of it, how had this wolf known her name? Was this really happening or was it all just a figment of her imagination? Now was a time that she desperately wished she was dreaming.
  • "Ekaterina, it's me Vadim." Vadim said, trying to get her to relax. "You're not Vadim, he's a man, not a talking wolf." She defended with a throbbing heart.
  • "I told you that I'm a werewolf, so of course I can transform into a wolf." He explained and despite the evidence before her, she refused to believe him, resolving to remain realistic.
  • Vadim was left with no other choice but to transform back to his human self in front of her. She gasped when he did, shocked at finding out he was telling the truth, he really was a werewolf and she felt a bit more unhinged at seeing him nude. She quickly covered her eyes and looked away, a blush spreading across her cheeks.
