Chapter 11 First Tease

• Ekaterina enjoyed the peace and quiet she had for the first few hours after she had managed to dart away from the dining area, amidst all the ruckus. She really hoped that she wouldn't have to deal with Vadim for the rest of the evening. The thought had barely left her mind when she heard the sound of a knock on the door. Her body immediately tensed up on impulse, fearing it was that annoying man again.
• "Come in." She permitted and the door flung open, revealing the maid that had previously come to call her down for dinner. Ekaterina felt her body relax on seeing that it was just the maid.
• "How are you feeling my lady? I hope you haven't encountered any difficulties so far." The maid asked and Ekaterina smiled.
