• After much whining from both sides, I had brought the kids over to visit Lana and their new sister. We stood in the nursery and of course, a fight ensued over who could hold Joanna first, which was none of them obviously. There was no way they were going to touch my fragile daughter that came into the world earlier than anticipated.
• “Your sister is still too small,” I told them. “Maybe you can carry her when she’s a bit bigger.”
