Chapter 3

  • Khushi:
  • I am checking the case file of a patient and someone closed my eyes from the back. I smiled as I know who can do this naughty stuff with me.
  • "I know this is my sweet enemy, Abhiram," I said.
  • "Khushi never lose in anything," Abhi said.
  • "Yes, she never lose anything until till Abhi is with her," I said holding his hands.
  • "Stop it, Khushi. I didn't do anything for you to say that. Khushi is always a winner because she never gives up on anything and destroys every hurdle in life. And that's why, I love you, Khushi," Abhi said.
  • "I love you, Abhi," I said remembering what all he did for me until now. Abhi is such a great friend who does anything and everything for a friend. I have never seen such a friend who can understand and sacrifice anything for the friend.
  • "Just one more month remained for our marriage."
  • I smiled looking at him, hiding the pain in my heart.
  • "I miss him," Abhi said.
  • "Better to forget those people who never comes back. You did what all you can and now we can't do anything more than that. Let's wait for the time to decide and heal," I said.
  • "You are right, Khushi. But I don't think we can bring him back anymore after our marriage. Our marriage breaks him more and healing would be nearly impossible."
  • "Only if he can understand our decision and his mistake, he can be healed, " I said.
  • "Do you think only he is at fault and you didn't do anything wrong?" Abhi said.
  • "I didn't do wrong, but the situations and consequences made it a mistake which can never be corrected," I said and tears formed in my eyes.
  • "I can understand but he would never understand it anymore after our marriage. Anyways as you said, let time help him to heal. Come on, let us go to the home. I will drop you," Abhi said.
  • We were going in the car. Suddenly, I saw a car hitting an old lady and going with the same speed. I have recognized the person who is driving the car. How can a person be that cruel and emotionless?
  • "Abhi, stop the car. Let's take her to the hospital."
  • "You will never change. Inviting challenges became a hobby for you," Abhi said and I glared at him.
  • Without speaking further, Abhi stopped the car. We took her to the hospital and admitted her. I told Abhi to take care of her and went to the police station to file the complaint. I gave the car number and the police checked the details of the person.
  • "Do you know whose car it is?" the Sub Inspector said.
  • "Yes. It's Rakshak's car and he is the culprit," I said.
  • "Do you know about him?"
  • I know about him more than anyone else. I remembered the incidents which were still in my heart, though I tried hard to forget them forever.
  • "Yes, I know about him. The one who has no mercy, no emotions and who can do anything for his profit. The one who didn't deserve to be called as a human," I said.
  • "Madam, he is a great entrepreneur
  • Don’t risk your life. He would not leave you if you file complaint against him," the coward and corrupted Sub Inspector said.
  • "I am not scared of Rakshak to register the complaint. Are you scared of him to arrest?" I said.
  • "Mind your language. I am warning you only for your sake."
  • "Thank you so much but please register the case," I said.
  • Having no option, he took the complaint against Rakshak. He arrested Rakshak. Rakshak saw me in the police station.
  • "Your complaint has no value. I will be free within an hour. But you can’t escape from me anymore," Rakshak said.
  • "God saves me when I stand for justice."
  • "I can buy even that God to change the fate of people who go against me. And as you know, you are very special to me. I will not leave you for sure," Rakshak said.
  • "Let's see," I said.
  • "You can only see because can't do anything to stop me from taking revenge against you," Rakshak said.
  • I went to my home and everyone worried for me knowing all this
  • "Don’t worry. I know that my daughter always do the right thing. I am always proud of you, Khushi," dad said.
  • "Thank you, dad," I said.
  • I got a call from the hospital saying there's an emergency. They told that I should do the surgery immediately, or the life of the person is at risk. I rushed to the hospital.
