• Being accused of stealing was the worst humiliation for Gu Annuan who was once the top socialite of Jin City.
• She tightened her grip on her clutch and stood there with a ghastly pale expression on her face.
• Fu Siye said nothing. He held his glass and leaned on the stairway behind him while gazing at her. His jet-black pupils were dark and seductive, but unpredictable nonetheless.
• Li Yunsuo was upset when he thought about the precious artwork destroyed by her. He sneered, “Why are you standing still? Call him now!”
• “Why? You dare not do so? Are you afraid that Mr. Huo would deny it and people would accuse you as a thief?”
• “Your father prides himself as an educated man. Why did he teach his daughter to be a thief?”
• “Looks like your family reputation is nothing much after all!” Li Yunsuo was harsh.
• Gu Annuan's hands trembled as she glanced instinctively at Fu Siye beside her. She knew that DFO was one of the organizers for the charity dinner. Since he was the boss of DFO, no one would dare to humiliate her under his orders.

• Gu Annuan took a deep breath and raised her head. She tucked a strand of hair around her ear as her smile deepened, “Why the fuss? Mr. Huo told me he was busy tonight as something urgent came up. Why should we bother him? I know Mr. Fu, Fu Siye from DFO as well. He was an old acquaintance and he invited me here. You can ask Mr. Fu as he's right here.”
• “Mr. Fu? Ha!” Li Yunsuo sneered, “Did your father teach you to be a liar? You said you know Mr. Huo, then Mr. Fu...”
• Li Yunsuo was about to continue mocking when Gu Annuan straightened her back and went to Fu Siye with a glass of wine in her hand. “Ye, it has been a long time.”
• Fu Siye's gaze darkened. A slight smile formed on his lips as he answered lazily, “Nuan, you refused to admit that you know me earlier.”
• Gu Annuan's chest tightened uncomfortably. She couldn't even bring herself to look him in the eyes. Yes, she didn't want to admit that she knew him as her hatred for him was too intense. But for her family's reputation, she had no choice but to surrender.
