Chapter 42

• Now it was the time for everyone to dance and so the center of the ball room was cleared for the dancers. The couples who had participated in the competition had separated themselves into two different rooms. In which one room was for the men and the second was one for the women. There were several Masks kept there for the participants. But couples had already brought masks with them, so they got ready and the band struck and slowly one by one they entered the ballroom the lights we dimmed and the DJ started playing the music.
• Jackie and Joe were very excited and had been discussing who would win the dance and Joe pointed out that it would definitely be Blake and Jamie. But Jackie had her own plans in her mind and she was confident that she would win the dance. They made me wear the mask as I was reluctant but was pulled by them, so I tried to enjoy myself by grabbing the next available partner and started dancing with him, it was really strange, as after wearing the mask you could not easily recognize your partner at all.
• So the music went on and on and the couples started swaying around the dance floor moving from one partner to the other. It had been announced that the music will go on and on and finally if the man or woman ends up with their respective partners after the music ended they will be awarded. So, it was strictly for engaged and married couples. But singles were also welcome if they register with someone present there. The old and young both participated and enjoyed it to the fullest.
