• As the echoes got trapped in the heated room, it shrank back in size. Kelvin and his mother's glare hardened dangerously on one another, unflinching that which seemed forever.
• "Who's Syntia to you, Mom? Why don't I know this?" He threw the cain on the couch, then folded his arms around his chest, fixing his gaze on his mother.
