Chapter 10 HIS VOICE AND THE DRUID

• Numb, in a stasis, frozen right in front of the creature. A tall hooded figure, resembling a man. Long dark nails, with his face hiding behind a mask that only his red eyes can be seen. He is hiding behind a cloak, yet his chest is wide open, with different types of dark markings spreading from it, reaching every limb.
• She tries to take a few steps back, but she stumbles on the bed, which forces her to sit down, not taking her eyes off him. The man raises his hand, trying to reach her, but Deathclaws tries to get between them. “Stand down”. Unable to move, Deathclaws feels his command reaching his mind, obeying him. “How--”, Eve is in shock, barely able to speak. “A Void creature can’t disobey me”, he answers her with his eerie voice. “Why--why is that?”, she asks, fear is occupying her mind. “Don’t be afraid of me, I would never hurt you”, he tries to reassure her. His hand is now on her cheek, making him gasp. “So you are real”, he says in excitement. “Eve, what have you done?!”, Deathclaws whispers, still unable to move. “I--I only thought to summon the person that has been speaking to me in my mind!”, she answers, terrified.
• “Amon was that voice?!”. Her eyes wide open, looking back at the hooded man, finally connecting the pieces. She grabs the blanket beneath her, sinking her nails in, trying to find the strength. “Stay back!”, she yells, and with a sudden move of her hand, ramble appears, targeting Amon. Some vines landed on him, piercing him, and some missed and hit the wall behind. She sharply draws breath, seeing the dark blood spilling on the floor. Tears start filling her eyes, as guilt has weighed on her soul. “Don’t cry, Eve. This doesn’t hurt. Your betrayal hurt most, but I guess you did pay the ultimate price, trusting the wrong people”, he says, which adds more questions than answers to her. “So--what do you want?!”, she tries to demand but he can see how hesitant she is. “You called me”.
