Chapter 41

  • “That was an absolutely wonderful meal, Trish. I don’t think I’ve eaten anything that delicious since, well, I don’t even know when.”
  • Jazmin was, to say the least, a little mortified at watching her grandfather flirt with Trish, the woman who owned the guest house they had booked for the night. The plump, auburn haired elderly woman was lovely and extremely welcoming, but a little too over friendly with her male customers. “I’m glad you enjoyed it. If you like, I can have some cheese and wine fetched up to your room later? Might even bring it myself” Trish said, with a wink.
  • Jazmin tried to suppress a snort of laughter by making it sound like a cough, while taking a sip of coffee. It resulted in her spluttering into her mug and trying to mutter some semi coherent words like “wrong hole" and “tickly throat”.
