Chapter 4 Call from Ukada

• Ring. Ring... The golden coloured telephone with a round dial ringed repeatedly.
• The ring of the telephone was louder, so Akshara could hear from her room which was located just above the room of her godmother, Nicoria. Akshara peeped out of her room and examined who was calling.
• The telephone ringed continuously, it turned out to be no one was willing to pick the telephone. Akshara tiptoed with her soft feet and passed the room of her godmother. The room was the godmother was remained shut just like five hours before.
• Akshara wondered and talked to herself, ‘What this old lady is doing in her room? I am daring to touch the peculiar crafted door as if the head of some animal was attached to it. Err… I wanted to know what she is doing inside there.’
• Akshara with curious filled eyes looked here and there to look for Nuraz and Deniza, and carefully fixed her ears to the weird door. Akshara thought to herself, “All I could hear is caw of Eggy. This weird bird looked even scary by its look. I dare to touch it, unlike my Sunshine. They were so sweet, but this damn Eggy always used to peck and mess my dear Sun and Shine. Wait for a day, I will capture you with my bare hands and handover you to Deny to make a soup.”
• A loud thud sound was heard on the door which made Akshara panic in fear and she flew to the living room with a giant leap and jumped to fall on the end of the stairs to reach the telephone, “Oh my god. Escaped in a needle gap. That was close.” She exhales some air in relief and is suddenly awakened by the rings of the telephone.
• Akshara hurried and picked the call and answered, "Hello!”
• "Hello, Darling! My sweet girl, are you home? Ah, what makes you take this much time to pick up my call" a masculine voice from the other side made a sparkle in the mind of Akshara and her eyes flashed with joy and ended up with tears.
• "Uncle Bruz! Is that you...?”- Akshara asked with a little tremble in her voice.
• “Yes, Darling”- the man on the other side replied with much care in his tone.
• “I knew it... Only you... Call me darling....”- stammered hardly to find words from her throat, her hands were wiping her joy tears.
• Uncle Bruz enquired, “How is...”
• Before Uncle Bruz completes his sentence, Akshara interjected his words, “I'm fine Uncle Bruz; you are very much concerned towards me from my birth. How is Ukada, is it cold there?”
• Uncle Bruz was tolerable towards her noisy behaviour and replied with a wide smile on his face, “Yes….climate in Ukada is very cold... “
• Suddenly the tone of Akshara changed from a curious tone to a concern, “Did you catch a cold? Be safe Uncle Bruz”
• “Don’t worry Darling. My fur is so thick, I won’t catch a cold” before he completes his sentence, Akshara interrupted, “Fur ….what fur…” with a pause she laughed loudly, “Uncle Bruz, you have fur. If you have fur, you will look like a fox…”
• “I mean to say your Uncle is the strongest alpha in this world. So nothing can trouble me” answered Uncle Bruz with much struggle, through her laughter.
• “Err…. Uncle Bruz, suck with your language. Alpha, beta, gamma, and delta….You always speak in the Greek Language. Tell me, what I want to hear, Uncle Bruz. Are you coming…?”
• “Darling, Stop your excitement. Lemme talk”
• “……”
• “Darling, how is Godmother,” asked Uncle Bruz hesitatingly.
• “Ah... She is fine with silver hair and wrinkles. She is getting old. She is so fierce after watching television. She even snatched the remote controller from me and finally, she broke everything.”
• “What is she doing…? Is she in her room…?”
• Silent prevails
• Akshara in a sad tone asked “You called after a long time; you are questioning about her, not me. Uncle Bruz, you didn’t care about me?”
• With some pause, the reply came, “Darling, I’m getting updates from Nuraz regularly about you. So…”
• Akshara blabbered, “Uncle Bruz, don’t tell me you are keeping spy on me…I trusted you…But you are so mean…”
• “Hold on Darling…” Akshara immediately stopped her blabbering.
• Uncle Bruz enquired after observing silence for a couple of minutes, “Darling are you there....you don't you answer.”
• “Because you told so” replied Akshara with frown eyebrows.
• “Huh... I see. When did my darling become so much obedient girl?”
• “Now" Akshara replied and she could hear the smile from her uncle.
• "Uncle Bruzzzzz"
• “Ok ok, I won't laugh. Fine darling, you just inform her that WE are coming for this Halloween" and thought to himself that only his highest deed was to ensure the safety of Akshara from a distance.
• “I am waiting for you, Uncle Bruz. Come soon."
• After the call ended, Akshara's mind kept lingering about the word WE said by Uncle Bruz. She confirms that the word refers to Uncle Bruz and his family.
• Akshara’s thoughts disturbed her, “Why did Uncle Bruz mention as WE. We meant to be his family. Oh my god is he coming with his family this time? I am not much welcomed by Aunt. She always has a needle in her tongue while talking to me.
• Oh yes, he has a son. He was very naughty and crazy like a lunatic. He always liked to follow me. If my memory serves right, I think I saw him… a decade ago. Wonder how he would be now, same like lunatic or a man of his age.”
• Every Halloween Uncle Bruz used to visit Akshara and spend some time with her. Akshara would enjoy to the core like she had no tomorrow.
• Upon the departure of Uncle Bruz, Akshara would turn the world upside down to unapproved to his departure. Every time, he used to trick her with something to return to his land and both Akshara and Uncle Bruz waited for the days of Halloween.
• Uncle Bruz as the leader of his community was busy with his work in Ukada, located in North to Ardna Chirig. So only his excuses visit Akshara for the past 5 years of Halloween. Akshara too was very fonder of him and always waited for his call to hear his voice calling her as Darling.
