Chapter 5 So Excited

  • "You heard me, which means you're not deaf," she scoffed.
  • "It appears you want a fight with me," Sofia frowned.
  • "I don't want a fight with you, and don't think I'm afraid of you because I'm not; I just don't want to waste my time with you. Watermelon,' she said, and we all burst out laughing. But she's correct. Sofia's breast is the size of a watermelon.
  • "Really. How about you, flat chest?' Sofia retorted.
  • Ouch! That hurts and Belle doesn't like it when someone calls her flat chest.
  • "Mrs Rose, I think we should stop these two before they turn this hostel into something else. As it is now, we have a watermelon and an orange and you know what happens when big and small clasp together…'
  • "Who are you calling an orange,' Belle retorted and picked up a stick and Eric got up and started running away with Sofia chasing after them. Angelica and I were laughing. This hostel is so hilarious and the thought of me leaving here one day was terrifying. I didn't want to think about it, so I brushed the thought aside and decided to just leave it as it is now and I'm happy about that.
  • I know, you're probably wondering why high school students and college students stay together and well, that was how it was supposed to be and my brother knew about it and he knows that Mrs Rose will watch over me and I also think he probably just wants me to learn new things from people older than me. But, this was the best day of my life and I love this place because it makes me feel loved and I'm happy about it. I feel like I'm part of a family here.
  • On a Sunday morning, Nicolas came to the hostel to see me. I was so excited, I ran and hugged him. He hugged me back and greeted the others as well and they also did the same too. We both sat down, on the chair in the front of the hostel and the others left by giving us some privacy.
  • "Welcome back,' I exclaimed cheerfully. I was overjoyed to see him, and he seemed good and bright today.
  • "How many times will you tell me that?' He chuckled.
  • "Because I miss you,' I explained cheerfully. He, too, laughed. "I miss you, too,' he said as he patted my head. "Ok, there's something I want to say to you, and I just wanted to let you know because you're part of the family as well.' he stated. I'm worried; what does he want to say, that he has to come to school? I assumed he was just glad to see me and greet me.
  • "Umm...How should I put this...unmm...'
  • "Is something wrong, Nicolas?' I inquired.
  • "No! No, there's nothing wrong.' He said as he lowered his head. "I have a fiance, Lucia.' He said and stared at me and I screamed so loud and hugged him so tight. Why didn't he tell me, he was dating someone.
  • "How long has it been,' I asked.
  • "It's been a year and six months," he replied.
  • "Wow! You didn't tell me you were dating,' I said.
  • "I apologize for that; I just wanted to know if it was going to work out between us, and it did, and we are now engaged.' He was overjoyed and looked like a love sick fool. No! Don't get me wrong, I'm just trying to say that he's madly in love with this lady, and I can't wait to see how beautiful she is and what kind of lady made my brother so happy in this way. It was a pleasant sensation, and he is overjoyed.
  • Wow!
  • "Congratulations bro?' I said happily.
  • "Thank you, Lucia,' he said.
  • "You're welcome," I cheerfully responded.
  • "And, uh...I'd like to sell our house,"
  • I asked. "Why?" I inquired. Was it due to his impending marriage? That house was our sole residence; it was where we went and where we lived. So, what is his motivation for wanting to sell it?
  • "We're relocating. My fiancée and I had decided to relocate for a change of scenery, and I fully support her decision. At the very least, starting a new life with a fresh start and a new environment will be beneficial. I just want a new place, new neighbors who don't know who I am,' he patted my head and said. "You're not mad at me." He asked me a question. What was the point of being irritated in the first place? He has already made a decision, so why is he telling me now?
  • I kind of felt bad that he was selling the house and no worries. He's right, it was high time we changed into a new environment and started a new life and moving forward.
  • "No! I'm not mad at you, Nicolas. I'm happy for you,' I grinned.
  • "I'm glad, and Gérard is going to be your lesson teacher. He's very brilliant and has passed so many subjects and he even got an A+. So, you can see how brilliant he is, and you're going to stay with him.' He said, and he gave me a serious look, which I recognize. When he wants to say something serious, he looks at me in that way.
  • "Have nothing to do with Gérard. Nicolas stated solemnly. "You're going to live with him for a while, Lucia, and make sure nothing bad happens between you and Gérard. He's not the type of man you'll want to be with unless you're very careful.' he stated. I know he cared about me, but I'm not a kid. To be honest, I'm excited to see him and I'm even going to live with him.
